    Well you gotta think about this, is Lugo 3.5 mil better than Izturis? Izturis makes 4.5, Lugo could make 8. If we get Lugo, I'm sure we move Izturis out of town.

    I'd prefer someone else too, but if it came down to Izturis or Theriot, I don't think it's really a debate.

    I was wondering if anyone knew if Ryan Theriot would be able to play a full season at SS next year? I saw he played two games last year at SS, but I don't know if he can do it for a full season. I think he'd be solid there if we were able to swing Izturis out of town in a package for a SP.

    I really don't like a lineup with 3 question marks in Pie, Izturis, and DeRosa.

    Have you made it to the Arena for a game yet? They really look 100% better this year, especially Lyons and Lawrence. I had no idea what to expect coming in, but after 5 games I wouldn't be surprised if we were a bubble team(and also not surprised if we weren't anywhere near the bubble). I'm real anxious for the Arkansas, Purdue, and Illinois games to see how we stack up against some truly quality opponents. I haven't yet, but I'm looking forward to it after break. I may go to the Coppin St. game after the kU game on Saturday. I like what Anderson has done so far.

    I'm just wondering what the infatuation with Crisp is? He doesn't hit for average, doesn't get on base all that often, has a low SLG%, and doesn't seem like he'd be all that beneficial to the team. I'd rather sign Roberts and trade Izturis and Eyre for a SP instead. I think the big thing people who want Crisp believe is that he had injury issues(hand, maybe?) that suppressed his numbers last year. His previous two years(.297/.344/.446 & .300/.345/.465) look much better, plus he's now entering his prime years. I did not realize he was only 27, but is his hand injury anything that could linger? His 04 and 05 were solid, but where would he bat in the lineup? 7th? I'd still rather have Roberts for CF and hopefully that'd bump Soriano out of the leadoff spot.

    Maybe it won't, but his .742 OPS is better than the .631 of Cesar Izturis. However, if it's Lugo for CF, no thanks. Dave Roberts plz.

    It was pretty good, certainly good enough to still be sold. Why don't they sell it anymore? Sales were decreasing every year. I think I was responsible for 40% of the sales though. I barely drink pop now that it's not for sale. They have talked about bringing it back though.

    Sign Meche/Lilly. Trade Jones's contract. Sign Drew. I don't think it's that impossible. Who knows, the payroll maybe be bigger than the 115-120 that we've been hearing. if that's it the rotation is horrible at worst and very average at best, definately not a world series champion. I don't think Z, Hill, Meche, Lilly/Westbrook, Prior/Miller with Marshall and Marmol possibly in there too is a horrible pitching staff.

    Honestly, the Drew thing is possible, but not all that probable. The Zito thing is ridiculous. Why is it so ridiculous that Zito called Hendry. If I was a FA and saw the money Hendry is throwing around, I'd call him in a second. I don't know. Boras maybe. But Zito personally calling Jim Hendry? I don't buy it.
