    They have Mizzou going 22-7, with close losses (under 10) to Illinois, Texas, Kansas, and OSU, with close wins (under 10) to Miss. St., Oklahoma, and Nebraska. I'd love it if that record were true.

    It would be embarrassing because we haven't lost to Mizzou since Carter was president. Or 1999, in Snyder's first season.

    I think it would be a good win and a bit of validation for their hot start for Mizzou, but embarrassing for U of I? It's a rivalry game, and Mizzou has only one loss and already dusted a decent-at-least Arkansas team. And like I said earlier in this thread, Snyder always was a decent recruiter, Mizzou's roster consists of several recruits who were well regarded nationally. Is it to the level of Illinois, who has been at the top of the B10 for a while? No, but it's a rivalry game on a neutral floor, and as such I don't think it's a disgrace to lose the game. with the way UI fans have run their mouths RE: KU the last 4 years, I don't know who to root for. On the one hand, it's Mizzou, and I hate rooting for Mizzou. But it would be nice for the Big XII to get a nice noncon scalp, and it would be hilarious to see the Illini freak out over the loss. Plus, I'd like Mizzou to feel nice and confident coming into the KU games. There. I talked myself into it. [bathing in lye]Go Mizzou.[/bathing in lye] Sweet, what size shirt are you? Every other team gave up runs by trying to steal bases. Florida, Detroit, Washington, and Colorado each lost more than ten runs. Who were the four teams that broke even or better?

If you're going to hate a player for taking an available number (which happens to be the number they have always worn) then you are being petty Where did I say he had to or that I would hate him for taking it? I said "I'm going to give him a chance" and all I said was he could win a lot of respect if he didn't take it.

    I'm not a big Marquis fan, and I hate the signing, but I'm going to give him a chance. However, I think he could win a LOT of respect from fans if he came out and said that he was taking a different number.
