  1. I have a feeling Marshall is going to get taken deep in this first.
  2. No WGN? i do, but im much to lazy to walk over to my tv, so im using MLB.tv =) Then you have no reason to complain ;)
  3. We'll see how he sings when his voice changes in a couple years. ;)
  4. Mizzou better win 9-10 games and be in the Big 12 Championship, or I'm gonna puke blood.
  5. Steve McMichael I was at the Reds/double switch game, sitting in the bleachers. we didn't have a clue what was going on. if I am not mistaken, that is the only time Dusty was ever ejected for arguing during his tenure as Cubs manager, and you will note it was not sticking up for his players. great game. Sosa-Alou back to back to win it. next day, the zone became the size of a teacup for Kerry Wood around the eighth inning costing the Cubs the ballgame. he received the same suspension arguing the strikezone that Chris Young got for throwing pitches and fists at another players head. yea i think bucknor gets a bad rap because of how dusty got ejected...hey it isnt bucknor's fault dusty didn't know how to double switch....moron  Well, Dusty figured it out, and then apparently couldnt stop doing it once he figured it out.
  6. My least favorite thing in the world is losing the last game of a series. I'm happy that we won the series, but we have to bring the sweep home.
  7. I was listening to the game on the radio on the way home, just waiting for something to be announced. Pulled into home at the end of the game, nothing announced and I was pissed. Put the tv on ESPN News and just sat there and kept getting more and more angry, and then news started to trickle in :o ....Though if only we knew how Nomar's Cub career would have turned out. Doesn't matter though, the fact that I got to see Nomar Garciaparra in a Cubs uni made it all worth it.
  8. bum yeah what a selfish player. hits 600 then sits out, what a joke.
  9. So Sosa has 2 homers in three days. That equals Jacque's total on the season thus far. Not to be too technical, but Sosa didn't even play yesterday, so it's 2 in his last two games.
  10. I really want Griffey simply for the fact that when I was 7-10 years old all I wanted was for Griffey to be a Cub. Besides that I think he'd be a huge help to our offense and in the OF. A Soriano-Pie-Griffey OF would be awesome.
  11. Sweet I get off work at 3. Just in time to watch the battle of who is crappier (Chicago style).
  12. That was from before he signed with Texas and announced he wanted to return. Yep, plain and simple. He said he wanted to get to 600 and that's all. Oh wait, he said he still has passion for the game and feels he's in good enough shape to try and play before leaving on his own terms? What a selfish prick. That quote clearly states he wants to get to 600 before saying goodbye. Why not say I want to win a World Series before saying goodbye? Because Sammy is about Sammy, and nothing more. So he can't have his own personal goals? It also states that he still has a lot of passion for the game and he's in good enough shape to come back. Yes, he mentions he wants to hit 600, and I see what you're saying, but you're ignoring the other half of quote. He could've said he wants to come back and win a World Series, sure, but come on, at that point he had to know his choices for teams were limited and he knew he was going to come back to a not so great team. I completely understand what you are saying, but to think that Sammy is just coming back for 600 is a little ridiculous to me. Yes, he's always liked to be in the limelight, but who doesn't? Every baseball player would like to spend some time basking in the glory. Did McGwire not want to break Maris's record? Did Maddux not want to get to 300? Did Sandberg/does Santo not want to make the HOF? Does Bonds not want to get to 756? I don't see why it's that big of a deal that Sammy wanted to get his 600th HR. It's a rare, great achievement.
