  1. just get out of it now wood so we can fake rally and go home tied for first.
  2. gameday go down for anyone else?
  3. theriot, hit a gapper you clown.
  4. Nice job JK. A double here by Ward/Floyd/whoever would be great.
  5. well the brewers just tied it and are about to take the lead. yay tied.
  6. great job taking pitches offense. its only 3 runs, not 9. get some runners and get a rally going.
  7. god. 3 runs isn't insurmountable. get Z out so we still have a chance at this thing.
  8. according to gameday Z isn't even close. get him out, please.
  9. I actually kind of have a good feeling that the Astros will pull out a W tonight. Which more than likely means the Brewers will win 18-0
  10. Aaron Harang has some pretty darn good numbers. Let's make those numbers not so pretty darn good anymore after this game.
  11. That is the unfortunate truth, and the bottom line is they are getting wins in games they should be winning. Can the defense keep playing like that and expect to win the North? Absolutely not, but that's one reason you play non-conference games, to work things like that out before the big conference games.
  12. I don't think I've made a snide comment about U of I since then. In fact, I admitted that I underestimated them and they are far more talented than I thought after that game. Good reading comprehension though. Bottom line is a loss is a loss. If you think Mizzou doesn't have a chance to win the North, you've got obvious blinders on.
  13. They've got as good a case as anybody. 2 power conference teams away from home and one of the best MAC programs is a decent non-con slate, especially when the biggest obstacle to scoring thus far has been changing play calling to try to kill clock because they're up by 25 points. Illinois was hardly away from home. It was like a bowl game, the crowd was split down the middle, and the location was pretty equidistant from the two schools. Definitely not the same as a home game, and they went on the road to an SEC school the next week. Make no mistake about it--Mizzou is a talented team with a scary offense. Coaching and what may be a suspect D will cost them a game or 2, but they're top 25, imo. And I hate them. But they should be 2-1. I still don't get this argument. You lost. Get over it.
  14. Mizzou should win by 50, I think.
