  1. That's the definition of heart and grit right there people.
  2. Heh, I just watched that episode a half hour ago.
  3. Soriano can speak some Japanese, yes? That's the communication train we need...Kosuke speaks to Soriano in Japanese, Soriano speaks in Spaish to Lou and Lou then translates to everyone else. Yikes. Seriously. It'll be like that "phone" game kids play where one person starts with a phrase and they pass it on through the last person who usually ends up with something completely unrelated.
  4. Credit to GoCubsGo for this one, but I want it too http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/4917/sfunslapfightam0.gif
  5. Used Meph's rankings. It's a 10 team H2H league, with these stats: R, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, SLAM, W, CG, SHO, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP I ignored holds. I had the last pick. 10. Matt Holliday (7) 11. Ryan Braun (5) -Debated going Victor Martinez one of these two, but held out hoping I could still get Martin. 31. Russell Martin (20) 32. Brandon Webb (19) 52. Adam Dunn (66) 53. Roy Halladay (38) 73. Carlos Guillen (74) 74. Roy Oswalt (42) -Picked Guillen as my SS originally, but quality 1B at this point in the draft were wearing thin, so he gets moved to 1B and Tejada is my SS 94. Huston Street (102) 95. Miguel Tejada (101) 115. Rich Hill (58) 116. Kosuke Fukudome (129) -Was gonna go Kemp here, but I figured why not. Kemp fell to me in the next round 136. Matt Kemp (39) 137. Yovani Gallardo (67) 157. Jim Thome (89) 158. Eric Gagne (136) 178. Rich Harden (48) 179. Joakim Soria (122) 199. Jeff Kent (111) -I guess I need a 2B. Kelly Johnson and Kent were both there. 200. Brian Wilson (236) 220. Mark Reynolds (137) -Insurance in case something happens in my OF and I need to move Braun there (if/when he becomes eligible) C: Russell Martin 1B: Carlos Guillen 2B: Jeff Kent 3B: Ryan Braun SS: Miguel Tejada OF: Matt Holliday OF: Adam Dunn OF: Matt Kemp Util: Jim Thome B: Kosuke Fukudome B: Mark Reynolds SP1: Brandon Webb SP2: Roy Halladay SP3: Roy Oswalt SP4: Rich Hill SP5: Yovani Gallardo SP6: Rich Harden RP1: Huston Street RP2: Eric Gagne RP3: Brian Wilson RP4: Joakim Soria
  6. Yes, it is. Thanks. I can't say I really care then. He'll only make the roster if Cedeno is moved, which I don't think will happen at this point.
  7. Great read Meph. I've got another draft tonight also. I was wondering what the formula was for determining projected roto points? If you explained it elsewhere, I probably missed it, so just point me in the right direction. Thanks man.
  8. I didn't read the thread, but is this a minor league deal?
  9. Not a fan of the two first round picks, but we never seem to have picks anyways. Hassell + retired KVH (lol) is better than George + Stackhouse. Sucks to lose Harris, but Cuban obviously is putting all of his eggs into this season.
  10. So I joined a league tonight because I was bored. The league is a strange one to an extent. It's an 11-team (wtf?) Roto league, with 22 roster spots. There are 20 positions (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, IF, LF, CF, RF, OF, and Util, along with 2 SP, 2 RP, and 3 P slots, which left 2 bench slots). Using your rankings Meph, this is what I landed. I realized there were only two bench slots around the 16th round or so, which kinda screwed me up because I wanted another closer or two, but needed to fill more positions. The LF/CF/RF ordeal also screwed me up. 1. Alex Rodriguez (1) 21. Victor Martinez (8) 22. Brandon Webb (19) 42. John Smoltz (18) 43. Chipper Jones (37) 63. Corey Hart (22) 64. Chris Young SD (40/45?) 84. Pedro Martinez (24) 85. Kelly Johnson (57) 105. Huston Street (102) 106. Todd Helton (72) 126. Matt Cain (77) 127. Matt Kemp (24) 147. Jhonny Peralta (115) 148. Jered Weaver (112) 168. Jeff Kent (111) 169. Eric Gagne (136) 189. Josh Hamilton (170) 190. Freddy Sanchez (172) 210. Rocco Baldelli (113) 211. Lastings Milledge (139) 231. Greg Maddux (108) So my lineup/rotation looks like: C: Victor Martinez 1B: Todd Helton 2B: Kelly Johnson 3B: Alex Rodriguez SS: Jhonny Peralta CI: Chipper Jones MI: Jeff Kent IF: Freddy Sanchez LF: Lastings Milledge CF: Corey Hart RF: Matt Kemp OF: Josh Hamilton Util: Rocco Baldelli SP: Brandon Webb SP: John Smoltz RP: Huston Street RP: Eric Gagne P: Chris Young P: Pedro Martinez P: Matt Cain Bench: Jered Weaver Bench: Greg Maddux
  11. My Dad ordered me a Fukudome jersey shirt for Christmas off WrigleyvilleSports and it finally got shipped to our house in IL last week in January. He shipped it to me here at school last week, so hopefully I'll get it soon. Meph, I was eyeing that key chain earlier. I really dig it.
  12. lmao @ mizzou
  13. I'm in as Team Grit.
  14. I don't understand how standing straight with your arms straight in the air while a guy jumps into you is a foul.
  15. We've got a pretty solid defensive scheme going right now. Double team Beasley so Walker is wide open.
  16. Beasley had 10 pts and 6 boards going into the first TV timeout. He might go 40 and 40 today.
  17. The Mizzou game has been going on for 1:52 and Beasley already has 4 points and 4 boards. This is going to be fun.
  18. Mizzou @ KSU tonight. It'd be cool to sweep the season series. We'll lose by 18.
  19. So wait, we're making minor league relievers untouchable now? I thought they were a dime a dozen.
  20. Schedule it on an off day.
  21. lol. we're the cubs dude. anyways, yeah i'd love to play the royals 15+ times a year.
