    Well, Ben Askren wrestled tonight. He won his first match by fall, but was up against last Olympics' bronze medalist in the 2nd round, and was eliminated. In order for Ben to have moved on, the person he lost to would've had to advance to the medal round by beating his next opponent, who is the defending gold champion. That didn't happen, so Ben was eliminated. Tough draw for him, with the bronze and gold medalists from Athens in his portion of the bracket, but it's still pretty impressive that he was able to make it to the Olympics just a little over a year removed from college wrestling, and he even won a match by pinfall.

    That AB reminded me a lot of Kosuke earlier in the year. Tight count, fouling off a lot of close pitches, then hitting one right back up the middle.

    Yeah, that sucks but you'll be able to watch the archived game once it is over... In the meantime, you can use the game day audio. Why is it blacked out though? When I type in my zip code to see what games will be blacked out, it says Royals and STL. Most likely it's the distance to IL but it could also be OH. The blackout rules aren't very consistent. There was a page that popped up that said something like "if you think you're being blacked out by mistake, verify your billing address and credit card." I did that and then it worked fine.

    Wow. I got a 5-day free trial for MLB.tv, and I'm using it this week since most of the games arent on WGN, and now they are telling me that this game is blacked out in my area. I live in freakin' Missouri for crying out loud.

    of course you do. but seriously, i think mizzou wins in a close one again. I think it's going to be a back and forth shoot out this year, with one team getting a late score to win by 14 or so to make it look not as close as it really was -- unlike last year, which was all Mizzou until the 4th when Illinois made a frantic comeback. It should be a great game. I can't wait. take into account that their starting qb was out for most of the game, and the offense is largely based on what juice does, i think the illini win last year's game. but it's conjecture. i'd like to see the illini fly under the radar again this year, it will just make it that much sweeter when we win. To be honest, and this is just from the little I've seen out of Illinois, I think McGee is the better QB. Juice might be a bigger threat with his legs, but his arm isn't good.

    Is gymnastics completely over? I feel like they mentioned that there were more events... Also, I'm pumped for freestyle wrestling on Wednesday. Hopefully I can watch some of it.

    Lee doesn't need to be benched or anything ridiculous like that, but a game off once every week, week and a half or so would definitely help. He also needs be moved down in the order. The bottom line is Lee's skills are quickly declining. He'll be 33 in a few weeks, and his numbers are down across the board this year, including his defense, where he has been quite average for a lot of this year.
