Why are people combining the seperate suspensions? The Giants suspended him while he was out with a gunshot wound. The NFL will suspend him for violating the law. They aren't one in the same. There is very little room for the NFLPA to win any sort of appeal given the power they allowed the commissioner to have in regards to suspensions. So you really think the league will suspend him eight games? I feel that'll leave a bit of a backlash with the teams, as they might feel that there is no point in suspending their own player if the league is going to go on to give a more ridiculous punishment on top of it. Again, no one is doubting he'll get four, but I just can't see eight. Who has gotten 8+ games in this league? Vick, Pacman, Ricky Williams, Chris Henry and Tank Johnson? We all know what Vick and Pacman did, Williams violated the substance abuse policy, Henry got arrested four times in a year or something like that, and Tank spent two months in jail after violating his probation. Plaxico isn't going to get the same number of games as these guys for what he did, especially when he won't serve jail time until 2010, and as far as I know, he's never had other major run-ins with the law (correct me if I'm wrong). I really just can't see it being more than four games.

Who was suspended 4 games? Plaxico. He was suspended by the Giants, not the NFL. The NFL can still suspend him. Regardless, he won't be suspended for half the season. Four is the absolute max he'll get.

He was never going to be an everyday player. Miles was brought in to play somewhat regularly. Well there's your problem right there.
