  1. let's put together the all-swag team ss - jose reyes 2b - brandon phillips 1b - prince fielder lf - andrew mccutchen cf - nyjer morgan jimmy rollins and hanley ramirez should probably play first and third or something cc is the ace help me think of more. Valverde the closer. he's got more swag than any of them
  2. Anyone know where BA ranked the Cubs and Red Sox farm systems in their 2011 rankings? Cubs 16th Red Sox 17th http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/rankings/organization-talent-rankings/2011/2611472.html
  3. hell of a redirect there.
  4. you're gonna make a great dad someday, so encouraging and to the point. THIS is a guy who is mentally prepared to have children. HAVE BEEN SINCE I WAS 18 MAN
  5. excellent first period
  6. The primary reason I want him is to oversee the building of the organization, specifically the scouting and development departments. I have no problem with him passing on the day-to-day GM role. Yeah I don't disagree with this at all. That's definitely what I want, but I just want him to fill in at both spots.
  7. I really don't want Epstein to be president and hire a GM. Am I the only one? Not that I don't trust who he'd bring in, but I want him to be both.
  8. it's gotta be rice. Moss had 23 a few years ago
  9. Garrard's having back surgery or some ish. So no.
  10. 4-1 over that stretch would be delightful.
  11. This is kind of where I'm at. I'm pretty much all-in on Theo. Do I want to give up McNutt for him? Absolutely not, but if it's going to keep us from getting Theo, I don't feel like it's worth losing out on him for a pitcher like McNutt (who could end up being a very good 2/3 starter, but isn't a guarantee). Same here, but I doubt the Red Sox are just asking for McNutt and cash right now. If it was just that I think this would be done. You're right. I guess I just wonder what else they could be asking for if McNutt is the key focal point of this. It's all irritating and waiting another week for some resolution would suck.
  12. That said I still don't think it'll take that much to get him.

  14. Where exactly do you live right now? This is the first baseball season I've lived outside the StL area and it has been 1000000x more enjoyable. I'm still in Columbia. I work with an assload of Cardinals fans. It's unbearable.
  15. In a one off event like a football game it really shouldn't have much of an effect. They get a bye week after this trip. Plus I think both teams left today? Gives them plenty of time to get used to the time change. What is it, 6 hours ahead of CT? 6 p.m. start then. Nothing too extreme.
  16. Johnson is the best WR in the league and could go down as one of the best we've ever seen. Very few compare to what he does and what he's capable of doing. Marshall isn't on the elite level that he is, but he's very high up there in terms of his abilities and his production compared to the rest of the league. He'd be the best WR the Bears have had in a long, long time.
  17. Smith assigned to Rockford
  18. http://www.neo-geo.com/snk/screenshots/2020%20super%20baseball2.gif i played the [expletive] out of that game growing up and still play it time to time on an emulator
  19. It's being assumed by the fact that Miami is 0-4.
  20. Marshall's a big bodied guy who isn't afraid to go over the middle or get hit. He can knock DBs on their ass after the catch. He's gone over 1000 yards each of the last four years and will probably do it again this season. He might not be the most elite WR out there, but he'd be a game changer for our offense.
  21. Lovie: Devin Hester has a chest injury "shouldn't be serious, we're going to put him in the bumps and bruises section."
  22. As terrible as Miami is and as lost as their season is, I'm not sure why they'd want an older safety. Their issues are mostly on the offensive side of the ball as well. Fair point. I still wouldn't mind throwing a draft pick or something at them for him.
  23. I was thinking Harris for Marshall as well. I'd do it in a second.
  24. if the cards win the world series im going to go on a rampage. i need to move.
  25. hester out with a chest injury
