  5. I had that problem when I lived in Charlotte. Somehow, the powers that be think that North Carolina is in the Cincinnati market. Go figure.

  8. Inetersting. He batted fourth against Rusch last week, too.
  9. The more the Tribune stock falls, the more likely they are to sell the Cubs, right? :P Either that or they are more likely to spend less on the cubs :( The fortunes of the parent company have very little direct influence on the operation of the ballclub. Tirbune doesn't spend anything on the CUBS. All of the CUBS' expenditures come out of CUBS' revenues. Now, the recent stadium renovation may have been an exception, but I'm not sure on that.
  10. The more the Tribune stock falls, the more likely they are to sell the Cubs, right? :P Actually, it's just the opposite.... but that's my opinion.
  11. Well, the stock market is in the crapper, Dow Jones is off 62 points, Tribune Co is down to 28, even Krispy Kreme is off 0.40 and falling like a rock. Time to shut that damned window and watch baseball !!!
  12. what about their record on Tuesday's? Sorry 'bout that. That is Tuesday. Damned fat fingers !!

  14. Vance, you know I love you like a brother, but you're far too compulsive to wait until tonight to watch the replay. See you here during the game !!
  15. Better than me, I'll check yahoo.com or espn.com for updates a couple times at work (NSBB is blocked and Gamecast doesn't work at the office). I'd get a new office !

  18. They must be the same imposters that took four straight walks after two outs in the first in the Spring Training game I went to in March. We're on a pace to draw 551 walks this year...... compared to last year's league average of 525 and our miserable total of 419. God, I love spring time !!!
  19. Through five games, the CUBS are seeing 3.73 P/PA (which is right on league average from last year) as opposed to their 3.61 from last year. I loved seeing Isringhausen come in with zero control, and CUBS hitters actually taking pitches. Who are these guys ????
