  1. Better than Elway, eh Jay? Don't think so pal.
  2. Tait is going to need to be replaced. He's old and pretty much nothing more than a servicable RT at this point. 10 years into his career at 33, I wouldn't hesitate to draft a tackle in the first next year to be ready to replace him by 2010, if not sooner. Next season, Tait will be as old, with as much mileage as Fred Miller was when he fell apart. Ideally they are picking in the late 20's, which would mean you are less likely to finding a guy ready to start right away, and can afford to take a guy who is a little more of a project (as opposed to the safe/ready pick of Williams this year). You also have an aging Kreutz to think about replacing soon. Should be able to pick up Tait's replacement outside the 1st if you do it right. A big ol' OG too. It's pretty hard to project that far into the future, but the way things are looking now, I'm starting to think we should look for a stud DB, or DE in the 1st round. Especially after watching how slow Mike Brown has become, and how ineffective Ogun is.
  3. We need to get some real road grater @ OG, IMO. Start blowing some DTs off the ball to get Forte some running room up the middle.
  4. More than Rocco Baldelli? How awesome must this be for him? That guy's been to hell and back. Much as I don't want the Rays' fans to get a World Series when they are old enough to remember there not being a Tampa Bay Rays, it's going to be really hard to not want them to win it all. Rays have the advantage, IMO. They should have the starting pitching advantage, and it's not going to be easy for the Phils to play in that ballpark when they're not used to doing it. It's a very different environment than most parks.
  5. Feel the heat! RAYS! Ahhh, thanks. It's actually pretty infectuous.
  6. Are you talking about "Fight for Your Right to Party"? Nope. They play this chant that sounds like "You .....believe...the Rays" or something like that. Over & over & over again.
  7. What are the words to that fight song they play every time something good happens? Can't decipher it.
  8. Hahaha, first chance they get they go all the way. Just shoot me now.
  9. The Vikings played a mistake-filled game today on the road. It does happen. Looking back, there was that NO game where the Saints giftwrapped the win for the Vikes, too. So it evens out. And the Bears have been gift-wrapping games for teams all year long, so it's about time we get one in our favor.
  10. You would probably bet the farm that if we gave up 41 we would lose this game going away... don't forget Booker's two dropped TDs either. Facts are we won a garbage game that we had to win and we're going to the bye week (which we badly need) in 1st place. nm:.... it appears you're a Vikes fan after reading your post again... Yeah I'm a Vikes fan. Not trying to be sour grapes and say we should have won the game either. We couldn't stop Orton and the passing game all day. Just fortunate they decided to run the ball the last two drives. Just frustrating that a couple fluke special teams touchdowns, some poor coaching on the kickoffs and what I felt (with admittedly biased eyes) was a terrible PI call, we lost by 7. I actually feel better about this loss than the Lions win last week. You got lucky to see the Bears with a secondary that wouldn't start on some college teams, otherwise it wouldn't have even been a close game.
  11. Allow me to gloat a little: that pass defense is indeed suspect. Beating up on their 2ary with our TEs and with guys like Booker (outrunning Sharper.....really Sharp? You've lost it bud) is what got our offense in the groove.
  12. They.......they stopped 'em? What is this strange unknown thing?
  13. It's completely relevant though. FINALLY TOMMIE SHOWS UP!!!
  14. Yeah the problem is, Berrian *will* be open down the sideline at some point given our CBs and lack of pass rush. And the Vikes are getting it back. I should feel confident right now. But it's impossible with these guys.
  15. Run it and chew more clock? Or risk the throw?
  16. They still need to get a first down, or else Minny will have a decent shot at it.
  17. They were never going to do that. 2 TOs, + 2 minute warning.
  18. It's happening *AGAIN* Dear Lord Jesus this is pathetic.
  19. *drops head in shame* This isn't Chicago Bear defense man.
  20. 4TH AND 16 YOU SLOGS! GET IT THE HELL DONE.
  21. That's really the only Bobby Wade there is.
  22. Yeah, we can't run it out. We need to actually make a stop, or they will come back.
  23. Toooooo much time left to be safe with this non-defense.
  24. *FINALLY* a freaking run blitz.
  25. This game. It isn't over yet. We've seen this before.
