Which reminds me of the Corey Patterson "we want you to be a slap/bunt/speed guy, wait how about hitting for power, no forget that back to speed." This org. is great at jerking people around. The problem with that is that we didn't really see Murton go for the "more aggressive" approach until this year after Dusty and co. were gone. Why would he be applying the ideas of the old coaches under the new ones when he was seemingly ignoring the old coaches when they were here? I didn't say Dusty, I said this organization. The Patterson incident was with Dusty, but Murton's is probably with new hitting coach, trying to impress new manager, asked to do something unfamiliar at a older age than most prospects, and mot of all pressuring himself to please everyone. I feel if he just went out and played his game--patience, gap-to-gap hitter-- whether it be 1 PA a week or 25, this whole situation would resolve itself rather quickly. I don't know what's going on anymore. I feel dizzy.
