  1. stuy and the Chargers are now on the clock. I have PMd him.
  2. B.J. Raji apparently did not test positive for marijuana before the combine.
  3. Yes, I was a little noncommittal with my excitement before today, but as I drove home from work it really started to hit me. Then, I got in and turned on the Yankees/Orioles game and at that point was fully ready for the Cubs game. Now, I'm completely ready for the season.
  4. He admits he's terrible at picking winners.
  5. That'd be a nice move. I think Taylor still has some good football left.
  6. #-o I missed that one, but that's not the traditional facepalm! Well, i guess you're going to just have to suck it up and quit complaining then. I have nothing to complain about the game though, had to find something... Nevermind, another weak out by Fukudome. Well, as long as you're not complaining about the game I guess. :D

  11. Looks like Theriot is imitating Aramis with his stance.
  12. Clay Matthews and Brian Cushing have apparently been informed that they did not test positive for banned substances.
  13. Hanley sacrifice bunting? Ouch.
  14. I think they'll surprise people by going .500, but AL Central winners? Nah. AL Central winners I disagree with. I could see 80 wins, maybe 82-85 if things go very well. If a few young pitchers and a couple young hitters develop, I could see them fighting for a wild card berth, though (assuming the wild card leader isn't a great deal better than the AL Central leader).
  15. Gammons said they were going to win 83-90 games last night on baseball tonight. I could see right around 80. And that's if guys like Hochevar realize their potential. Gordon and Butler too. A lot of things need to go right for them in order to contend, but the chancesd of that happening are slim. If Gordon and Butler play like they have been expected to, and Teahen puts it together again, and Aviles wasn't a fluke, and the rotation holds up decently enoughb they could have a shot. But like dew said it's a longshot The Royals are really interesting because they're young and have a lot of potential. I really like a lot of their young talent, so I think they'll do better than most people do. Contention's a pretty big longshot, though.
  16. In a bad enough year, might Bobby Cox retire?

  18. It'd take a lot of good years out of some guys, but I think they have the potential to put up a fight for a playoff spot. Still a pretty big longshot, though.
  19. Salty is holding down my C spot until Weiters gets called up - maybe he can get off to a really hot start and I can spin him off when that time comes  In one league I've got Rod Barajas and Dioner Navarro holding down the spot until Wieters is called up. I'd love to have Salty in that one.
  20. Pretty sure he's out for the year.
