  1. Oops. Posted in wrong thread.
  2. edited. wrong thread. Oh yeah, and not sold on Tannehill either.
  3. Damn straight I'll be watching. Even if deep down I know they won't win it all. I thought the same about the Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich Bulls in the playoffs too. And it they somehow someway compete in the ECF, then it will be super sweet.
  4. Easily the best guy we took from Utah. PLEASE play like this if we face Miami. PLEASE. Nobody could make anything against them from the outside last year. Korver shot like Chris Dudley.
  5. That so reminds me of Johnny Knox.
  6. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/jayron-hosley-vontaze-burfict-failed-drug-tests-nfl-scouting-combine-042512 On that topic: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7819621/ncf-oregon-ducks-deny-drug-culture-eugene-espn-magazine 27% of college football players smoke weed. Not surprising at all. But before games? Wow. That blows my mind. I mean, watching football would be fun. Maybe even the idea of playing football is fun. But actually playing real football stoned? Wow.
  7. Tough to blame teams for wanting the Bulls rather than Miami. Miami is definitely the more intimidating team.
  8. http://www.journaltimes.com/sports/basketball/bucks-beat-udrih-will-pick-up-million-player-option/article_87078668-8e98-11e1-9647-001a4bcf887a.html That would be cool to see. The Zen Master finally coaches a non-championship caliber team.
  9. OK, sample size. I get it. OPS is hovering around .600 in 70+ AB's. I'm sure he's adjusting to a new team, new league, pressing. But damn. He is absolutely horrible. I'm sure he will certainly get better and finish the season with decent numbers. But decent is just not good enough in year 1 of a 10 year deal.
  10. After years of rooting against the guy, I draft him with the #2 pick in my fantasy league this year. Screw him. He needs to get back on the juice. Or at least the Cardinals pixie dust.
  11. It doesn't matter what the seeding is. I'm not saying the Bulls should take any opponent for granted, but if they can't get by Boston or Indy, then they won't be able to get by Miami.
  12. It's about understanding the game, not just being fatalistic for the sake of it. I don't sit around watching Bulls games thinking, "oh this sucks, why am I wasting my time?" I watch Bulls games thinking, "I sure do love NBA basketball and the Bulls." Just like I did when Kirk Hinrich was our best player and just like I did when Jalen Rose was our best player and just like I did when Elton Brand was our best player and just like I did when Michael Jordan was our best player. Thinking this roster is good enough as is to win a championship is fine as a fan, I guess. I certainly hope the Bulls front office doesn't share those beliefs. I think this roster is good enough to conceivably win it all, but it's not good enough to more than likely win it all. I want my team to be the best, and I guess I just remember the Knicks, Jazz, Suns and Pacers in the 90's too well to be ok with my favorite team following in their footsteps. Obviously parity is better now because Michael Jordan isn't in his prime, but being the third or fourth best team at the end of the playoffs sucks compared to being the best. Understanding the difference between someone saying they're probably not going to win it and they're definitely not going to win it is maybe a subtlety that is lost on you, so I'm going to go ahead and speak for everyone in this thread who thinks the Heat and Thunder are a better constructed team for a playoff run and say explicitly: The Bulls, as currently constructed, are probably not going to win the NBA Championship. Because their two direct competitors are still in their prime and will be for some time, the Bulls need to upgrade their roster. Tell me. How do you build a team that is a sure thing to win the championship? I just don't get this argument at all. Some people think its as simple as "getting Dwight Howard", or "getting LeBron James". This is absurd. And even when teams seem to do it, like by getting Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudamire, they fall on their face. The Bulls have done a pretty good job with personnel and coaching. Why don't you give them a freaking chance. The team has had the best record in the league for 2 years, and lost one series. Let them at least lose again before calling for dismantling the team. I just don't get people calling for this before this team has even had a chance to prove they can't win. The way you're talking, you would've called for the dismantling of the Mavs last year before the playoffs. Don't tell me you thought the Mavs had a chance in hell of winning going into the playoffs. Who is saying dismantling? How is trying to improve dismantling? Gimme a break. OK. How do you IMPROVE the team? And why don't you tell GarPax that they should get off their asses and try and IMPROVE the team because they just don't seem to be trying to IMPROVE the team. You guys act like they DIDN'T try and trade for Dwight Howard this year, even with the best record.

  14. This drives me nuts. Why? Why can't we look at last year and see that they did exactly that? Sweeping them in the regular season and then losing 4-1 in the playoffs wasn't a fluke and it did actually happen, so no offense, but saying we aren't allowed to make that argument or expect the same outcome is stupid. Hey guys! You know that thing that definitely already happened? It's definitely not going to happen again so don't even bring it up, k? Because the whole argument is based on Miami not caring about regular season games as much as the Bulls do. They cared about yesterday's game. And Bulls have lost plenty of games this year they had no business losing. And another basis for the argument is that the Bulls played like they did in the regular season during the playoffs. The fact is that the Bulls sucked against Miami. Guys continually missed shots they normally make. And Miami played very well. If the Heat beat the Bulls year after year in the playoffs, then I'll buy the argument. But it was one series.
  15. Miami was not great in the half court last year in the playoffs against the Bulls. They killed the Bulls with transition points. And a lot of this was because the Bulls couldn't score. Nobody on the Bulls were making any shots. Korver, Boozer, Deng, nobody. Miami was playing great defense, but the Bulls were not making anything. If Korver and Boozer played like they did last night, the Bulls probably win the series. And let's not hear any more arguments that Miami will just turn it up in the playoffs. They wanted it as badly as the Bulls did and they couldn't win with Rose having his worst game ever. The ECF will be the best I can remember in years.
  16. LOL@ thinking Barkley is worth listening to. That's not the point. And neither are Magic or Broussard. The point is that the media doesn't hate the Bulls and think they have no shot against Miami, which is what you said everyone says. But see, he can just dismiss everybody who does like the Bulls as crappy analysts. It's a fool proof plan. Not true. I'd rather put stock in Jon Barry who's pulling for Chicago as opposed to Barkley. At any rate, the clear majority of analysts and professionals are picking the Heat to win. Hopefully the Bulls win out and make it to the Finals, but if not it's going to be funny when you guys start to become logical with this team and pretend like you knew all along they wouldn't have much of a chance. I'll eat crow no problem if I'm wrong. Miami loses tonight. Nice. Whenever Miami loses, they are just saving it for the playoffs and its nothing to worry about. When Chicago loses, they are in trouble because they always give it full effort and they have no additional gear. Never mind the fact that they have had by far the most injuries of any contender.
  17. No they aren't. People are coming down on him for being a little bitch and pretending the Bears haven't tried to sign him to an extension that guarantees him a heck of a lot of money. It's not about disrespect, taking advantage or unfairness. It's about money. The Bears offered a lot of money and he wanted more. It's not like the Bears have never expressed interest in paying anything but the franchise number for one year. We know with the Lynch, Williams, Johnson, and Foster long-term contracts what the market for Forte is. 17-20Mil guaranteed. We can assume that is what is being considered "fair market value" for Forte. If he would have been offered that, he would have a long-term deal right now. The fact that he doesn't means that YES the Bears HAVE tried, but they haven't tried to sign him to a fair value. they don't have to sign him at "fair market value" if they don't want to. if they don't value him, why should they pay big money for him? that's idiotic to pay someone simply to pay them or out of some sense of fairness. if they thought he was a must-keep player, they would have signed him long ago on his terms. OK. I never said they had to or even should sign Forte. I said they haven't offered Forte the money his peers have received. That's all. How do we know this? How do we know what was offered, and whether he would accept 17-20 million guaranteed? If you hear some people around the NFL talking, including his teammates, you'd think a fair number of them think he's the best RB in the NFL.
  18. I think its pointless to talk about Forte being slighted unless we know what has been offered and how much he wants. He's a good RB. But he's not worth Adrian Petersen or Chris Johnson money, and he's not worth Arian Foster money. If his agent is trying to say he's more valuable that an Arian Foster because he accounts for a bigger % of the offense, then I'll side with the Bears.
  19. Oh, so Dwyane Wade is European. Well that explains the messed up way he spells his name.
  20. Count me as glad the Cubs didn't make that deal. Anyone want to bet on this one? I think that Oakland's going to regret the deal.
  21. I checked out those ratings. Some of them are really crazy.
  22. If this is a "DRose isn't very good because the Bulls win without him" post, just go away. The argument is absurd.
  23. Stephen A Smith was on ESPN speculating the same thing. I'd love to see it. Let's see what Phil does when he's not handed a championship caliber team. I'm not taking anything away from him, because he's a great coach. But there's no coach out there that can win with the current Knicks team.
  24. http://newyork.sbnation.com/new-york-knicks/2012/3/14/2871426/new-york-knicks-news-2012-mike-dantoni-resigns-mike-woodson-jeremy-lin-linsanity I wonder if Mike often wishes he'd gone for the Bulls job instead of the NY one. What a horrible decision for Mike. He probably regrets it all the time. And it worked out great for the Bulls. I hate to think where the Bulls would be right now if he were hired.
  25. More at the link: http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/7682303/chicago-bulls-working-acquire-pau-gasol-los-angeles-lakers-sources-say Replacing Boozer with Gasol? :beg: Unfortunately, I'm not getting my hopes up. Nobody is doing any deal like that unless the pot is sweetened considerably.
