    Hell, I pay for Center Ice but when the games are on WGN I can only get the visitors broadcast for some reason. That pisses me off. Yeah that's annoying. That LA guy last night was a snooze. They were pretty boring; I agree.

    Timbers need another year of development with Porter, I think. Completely exceeded my expectations. They'll be pretty fantastic next season.

    I'd be curious how the quality of competition stacks right now. Within the new conferences, you have the ability to direct compare strength of schedule played and remaining among the teams. It doesn't work outside the individual divisions/conferences, which makes me sad. And which also makes the "wildcard" playoff slots stupid. Personally, I'd do away with the divisions and just go with conferences. But, whatever. They will realign again with either expansion to Seattle and Quebec or various team moves.

    Forgot about him. I'd let him walk. You can't have a DP be a bench player. That's money that can be invested in the backline. SSFC isn't as far away as one might think watching their last six weeks, but they do have to make the correct moves. It was unbelievable to me that they didn't start running their offense more through Dempsey when he joined the team. He's just a level above most of the MLS defenders. When he touches the ball, almost every time he makes something positive out of it. You don't want to make him the focus point, but you give him the freedom to roam with good service and he will unlock an opponent's defense. I'm Timbers fan, and I watched a team with Johnson and Dempsey upfront get completely stymied. That's a terrible game plan and/or execution by the players. Either way, it was glorious to see the talent squandered.

    Guh, game must be on WGN. Center Ice has Edmonton's non-HD feed. Horrible.
