    Maybe. Guys go on 3 days rest in the playoffs all the time. But that's obviously not my concern. My concern is not wasting a great Hendricks start against an amazing Kershaw. Joe won't do it bc it's not zen. But it gives us the best chance to win the series. If you have the 2nd and 3rd best starters between the 6 left to pitch, you don't put them up against the best starter. You let the 4th or 5th best guy face him and significantly increase your chances to win the other 2. If it were up to me, I'd add Hammel and send him against the very beatable Maeda, and then I'd like our chances at Wrigley to take at least one of Lester vs. Kershaw or Hendricks vs. Hill. But if not, like you said, I don't like the idea of wasting a Hendricks start vs. Kershaw, and then we're relying on Reliable Mid Rotation Mode Jake vs. Hill to stay alive. Good thing it isn't up to you.

    That was in St. Louis. I assume he's asking because of the night game restrictions at Wrigley. There are no postseason night game restrictions at Wrigley. They've had Friday night postseason games there before, including Game 3 vs. the Braves when Prior beat Maddux in 2003. The only way it's not a night game is if TV wants it that way. Thanks. I'm thinking I'll still take the day off just in case.

    thankfully it is not health that is preventing this team from winning lots of games. But that will be the scapegoat and we can repeat this cycle again next year.

    Not sure if you are kidding, weather looks fine to me until the evening. We do NOT need any rainouts to give us one less potential win because unless the rainout is in the Cardinals series next week, they will not replay any rainouts against the Brewers, Reds or Pirates It's a game day thread joke. I too hate rain outs.
