Maybe. Guys go on 3 days rest in the playoffs all the time. But that's obviously not my concern. My concern is not wasting a great Hendricks start against an amazing Kershaw. Joe won't do it bc it's not zen. But it gives us the best chance to win the series. If you have the 2nd and 3rd best starters between the 6 left to pitch, you don't put them up against the best starter. You let the 4th or 5th best guy face him and significantly increase your chances to win the other 2. If it were up to me, I'd add Hammel and send him against the very beatable Maeda, and then I'd like our chances at Wrigley to take at least one of Lester vs. Kershaw or Hendricks vs. Hill. But if not, like you said, I don't like the idea of wasting a Hendricks start vs. Kershaw, and then we're relying on Reliable Mid Rotation Mode Jake vs. Hill to stay alive. Good thing it isn't up to you.
