Eh... because Javy? I mean, yeah, I will certainly like him more than Herrera, in the sense that I know, deep down, somewhere, there is a chance he just blasts one into the bleachers. But, he was shown to be really bad last year. Like, he was worse than the guys we already have on the bench. And, even if he is "fixed," the bench is still gonna be pretty bad outside of him. But, we don't really need a bench for more than a pinch hit or two and a couple defensive replacements. So, whatever. I'd rather strike out with a chance to homer than herrara hit a dp with a chance to maybe single Agreed. And that's why I said basically the same thing. But, that doesn't mean he makes our bench good. Still makes our bench a lot better. After Coghlan/Denorfia, the 2nd best bench player is either Herrera or Castro. Yuck.

Just deeper. Not an Olt fan but the Cubs really need a power guy off the bench and then you have guys like La Stella and Villanueva that can contribute. olt is the first guy you thought of as a power guy off the bench coming sept 1st? kinda weird just saying Oh and Javy of course. Duh.

Kinda helps when they blow an easy DP Yeah, that happens in baseball games sometimes. And it is probably why you shouldn't act like a 2-run lead is insurmountable. Against a guy that has good stuff, it might be. They had a chance in the Chris Sale game too but it never felt close.
