  1. I just realized I missed the most prominent name of all... JUAN CRUZ Ugh, that one brings back painful memories.
  2. He had to come back down to Earth sooner or later. Although, knowing Dusty, we'll soon be adding Cedeno to that list I posted...
  3. I was talking about the misuse of talented players. :D
  4. I posted this in the Game Thread, but figured it might be a nice addition to the thread:
  5. Knowing Shaq, there wouldn't be leftovers!
  6. He got mugged. Although, he wasn't the only Bull to take physicality tonight without the refs being blind to it. :x
  7. Garbage. Utter, utter, utter garbage.
  8. Ah yes, the old bounce pass off of your teammate's head. Well-orchestrated.
  9. See, I'm not nearly as trained at spotting fouls as I am penalties in football and the strike zone in baseball. However, even I can see that this game has been so poorly officiated with some incredulous dumb calls. Where does the NBA find these idiots?
  10. The refs should be the ones to move on to face the Heat in the next series. This is ridiculous.
  11. Soft tossing lefty who was drafted as a senior out of college left year. He doesn't throw very hard, but considering he throws with his left hand, he could find himself as a journeyman reliever down the line.
  12. Crazy Julian is good for a fun meltdown every now and again. Rest assured, whether he knows it or not, he was born for that role.
  13. So do the Cubs. It's fun looking at Sheets' game log against the Cubs last season. Prior to 2004, Sheets used to completely own the Cubs. However, last season, the Cubs gradually figured him out because they faced him so much over a short period of time. Jul. 5th: 7 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 12 K, 1 BB, W Jul. 17th: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 8 K, 1 BB, 2 HR, L Jul. 27th: 7 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 8 K, 0 BB, 2 HR, L Aug. 18th: 7 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 8 K, 0 BB, HR, ND Aug. 23rd: 6 IP, 10 H, 6 ER, 5 K, 1 BB, L The July 5th game was particularly painful because Clement threw one mistake pitch in that entire [expletive] game and the Cubs ended up losing 1-0. I'm still bitter over that one. But the rest? Mwahahahahahaha.
  14. Um...you might not want to go to the Minor League forum... :(
  15. Somehow...this figures. So, who gets his spot on the 40 man and who gets called up?
  16. Funniest part of the game was the approximately 100 different pronunciations Marv Albert used for Nocioni.
  17. These trips to the foul line are beginning to give me a headache.
  18. Isn't Bruce Bochy's contract up with SD after the season?
  19. I give up. I used to keep my mouth shut about Dusty as an overall manager (although I would complain about certain moves he made), but now, like Popeye, I can't stands no more! He's not the worst manager we've had (not by a longshot), but the man is just so completely confusing. He makes indefensible decisions, he regularly plays hitters who take months to draw their first walk, he doesn't seem to know a damn thing about splits, and with some of the decisions he's been making recently, I don't think he even cares any more! I don't know who the heck will be out there this offseason, but I really hope the Cubs give them a good, long look.
  20. As a hitter off the bench, Grieve wouldn't be a bad choice. My only problem would be is that Neifi and Macias would be the immediate backup options at 2B...and that's not a good thing. I'd rather not see Macias attempting to turn double plays, thanks. Neifi I could live with, but it'd pain me to see him in the lineup this often. It's possible Cedeno, Lewis, or Fontenot gets called up, but it mostly depends on what the Cubs value. ...yeah, it'll be Grieve.
  21. Might as well ask it before some one else does... Where do you think Sisco would rank if he was given back to the Cubs?
  22. That kinda sucks for Norwood. I was hoping he'd put out a good effort this season and continue to solidify our 1B depth.
  23. He was hitting 93/94 on the radar gun, which is up from the reported high 80s he was hanging around in Daytona. However, he was all over the place.
