  7. I really hate how the refs get easily influenced by home crowds in the NBA.
  8. Really, that's the play you drew up during the break? An off-balance and awkward three?
  9. oh i remember la russa bitching about umpiring so i figure i just had to find one example to make him look like a huge hypocrite. He's constantly barking at umps from the dugout.

  11. This isn't very surprising, given the Cubs' MO with other prospects. I know they tend to ask prospects to temporarily scrap certain pitches so that the pitchers can focus on honing their other pitches. Off the top of my head, Gallagher was asked to put his slider (apparently his best pitch) on hiatus for awhile so that he could work on his FB/Curve/Change. If McDaniel was asked to cut back on his curveball so he could develop his FB/Change, then, with some luck, he'll have longer outings and become a better overall pitcher for it.
  12. Kind of bummed that I went to sleep at the top of the fourth and missed the rest of the game, but from the sound of how this game went, I'm kind of not.
  13. I'm turning this off. Hopefully things will be better when I get back.
  14. Slider, low and away Slider, low and away Slider, low and away Slider, low and away Slider, low and away Slider, low and away Slider, low and away Slider, low and away
  15. And now the rookie pitcher will settle down and shut down the Cubs through the 7th.
  16. Quit grooving fastballs down the middle, you idiot.
  17. I might kill a few small furry animals if we get swept at home against the freaking Cardinals.
