  1. That was glorious.
  2. He's so so drunk and I love it.
  3. KB is horsefeathering shithoused.
  4. Pretty certain CSN Chicago is streaming for free without a subscription.
  5. Thanks guys. Man this is still surreal.
  6. Does anyone know what time the parade actually starts? I would love to sneak another hour of sleep in before I start watching.

  8. I've been a mess for 12 hours. A mix of sobbing and laughing and sitting in my living room with my dogs Luke and Rizzo confused as hell about what's happening. This site has been a godsend because I can't talk about Cubs baseball like this with people in the real world because it's always a mix of some 1908 [expletive] or "do you think they can do it?" over and over. Last night was incredible and all I could do was think about everyone, like Fred, that didn't get to see this. My god is it crazy how much this team means to all of us. Alright back to watching the game for the third time.
  9. I'll share thoughts tomorrow. For now I love you [expletive]. I thought I bawled when they clinched but this was absurd.
  10. This is going to be a legendary night. Neighbors want to go to the Cubs bar here in Austin, which was [expletive] amazing for game 6 of the NLCS, but I am still dead from the last 5 days in Chicago, so I am still debating. No matter where any of us watch the game tonight is going to be something we all remember for the rest of our lives.
  11. My buddy had to drive back to Louisville because he has jury duty so I'll be sitting in my room ordering shitty over priced room service nachos. These jerks better win.
  12. The losers and doom boners that I've never seen post are out in full force tonight. This team won't lay down tomorrow, they'll send it back to Cleveland. Then if we get a good Arrieta we'll push it to 7 where anything can happen. Odds are long but I'll bet they've got a 1/10 shot after tonight.
  13. Fowler was 96 mph off the bat. Not actually hit hard. Baseball is dumb.
  14. If anyone wants to come to the JW Marriott bar while I wait for my room I'll buy you a beer. Aaaaaaaand that's officially the saddest thing I've ever said/typed/thought.
  15. There were a bunch of Cubs fans on my flight from Dallas this morning. My buddy is in the air now. Wonder how many are with him on his flight. I leave Austin at 5am tomorrow. We have a stop in St. Louis, which, much like this season, is a mere inconvenience as we make our way to the ultimate destination. I'm hoping we have half a plane full of Cubs fans when we load up with those bozos from St. Louis.
  16. You sure about that? Source guy, WHY SHOULDN'T HE BE SURE ABOUT THIS. PLEASE TELL ME! Plan is for him to workout and get examined in Chicago tomorrow or at least it was this morning. He wants to play and the org wants him to play and it's not fear of re-injury or anything but just having the stamina to move and stand around in the outfield and also taking ABs. As soon as I hear from my buddy tomorrow I'll let everyone know because I'm just as anxious.
  17. I thought we as a fan base were past the words can jinx stuff mentality
  18. It didn't inexplicably vanish. He had it last year. Then the league adjusted to him and he had to make swing changes to survive. I'd still think it would show up sometimes and that he wouldn't be sitting in the bottom 5 going oppo. At the risk of this spiraling quickly into an idiotic Bryant can't hit good pitching "debate"...he's going to win horsefeathering MVP. What exactly are your complaints here? He cut his whiff rate upped his average while maintaining an elite walk rate due to the changes he made this past offseason.
  19. Yeah I hate when they lose because it means I can't listen to any radio at work, venture anywhere on Twitter or talk to people at work due to the overwhelming stupidity.
  20. LOL, right?! I'm gonna feel like a [expletive] fool if I bawled my eyes out Sat, only to have the guys go down as quietly as they did against the Mutts last year. Its a long series, and the rest of their staff ain't Kluber Doooooooooomed
  21. Yeah super easy to just say make contact against a historically great whiff getting reliever. If it were that easy Miller wouldn't be awesome.
  22. LOL, right?! I'm gonna feel like a [expletive] fool if I bawled my eyes out Sat, only to have the guys go down as quietly as they did against the Mutts last year. Do people really not know how good Andrew Miller is? That's 12 straight scoreless bases loaded situations against him.
  23. But thats not really what you did. Yeah, it is. I also said that people might want to pump the brakes on him being some sort of magical beast of destruction but I get that reading is a difficult skill to master. Nope you went full on viagra fueled doom boner. Do you honestly think we're too stupid to not realize the odds he does something amazing are slim? It's horsefeathering baseball and the odds something awesome happening in a given at bat are slim. You also have no clue about the hitting regiment he's been going through and what timing as a Major League hitter actually means. Then you got defensive and self-righteous about how nobody understands how hard hitting a baseball is after coming off an injury and now you're insufferable. I have a feeling you're going to feel so good about yourself if he goes 0 for 4 with 3 Ks because you'll feel it validated you trying to be a wet blanket. Enjoy the ride. Enjoy the news. This is pretty incredible and sports shock us all the [expletive] time.
