The Giants bounced pitches to the Braves all series and swept them. So we try to trick them with balls down the middle. Genius really. Of course, Chatwood could have been aiming at any of the corners of the zone.

He has a 1.056 OPS in May. Yeah everything in his underlying numbers/skills is fine.

I don't actually think he's awful. He's actually hitting the ball harder this year than he ever has so I'm sure it'll turn around but his approach has sucked.

The team that absolutely destroyed us in the NLCS last year? Yeah they really got us there. We didn't beat their ass en route to actually winning a championship or anything. So to recap... 2016: Cubs beat Dodgers in the NLCS and then the Cubs won a World Series. 2017: Dodgers beat Cubs in NLCS and then the Dodgers lose a crushing World Series. 2018: The Dodgers are dog horsefeathers. The Cubs are somehow above .500. Yeah sign me up to be the Dodgers, you're a horsefeathering idiot.

Metrics say it doesn't actually suck and it's top 3. I disagree but those are the numbers. Like our defense, the metrics must be broken. 3rd by DRS and UZR. I think watching them everyday has made us all hate them a little bit. They've also commited the 4th most errors coming into tonight.
