We are not talking about him appearing in ours. We are talking about him dissapearing from theirs. At least I am. I dont think it'll happen today. It'll probably happen tomorrow after the game if it happens at all. But, I'm allowed to hope.

I honestly don't believe the trade will be announced until after the game "IF" it happens at all. Best case is that Dunn leaves town with the Cubs. I just don't see it happening. I do have to agree with that. The guy did say today or tomorrow. It would make more sense if it wsa announced tomorrow after the game. Rich hill could then make his start. But, still. I hold hope.

Good Lord, you played golf in this heat?? :shock: Yes i know. It's very hot here in Louisville. I live in Jefferson County, you? You played too? I played 9 holes in Midland, MI today, where it's much cooler and was a beautiful day for my first time on the course this year. I shot an 11 over par 47. I don't think Tiger Woods is worried. How'd you do? I did horrible. I think I ended up like fifteen over par. Which is bad when the course is so small. I went with a friend, though. So we were just there for gits and shiggles. We had a good time. But I am sure it is only because your mind was on the dunn trade right. :wink: Uhh, of course!

Good Lord, you played golf in this heat?? :shock: Eh, its a small course. ONly nine holes. And most of the holes are only like Par 3, 100 Yds. Its made for amatuers. The Idea is on in 1, then 2 putt. Its a nice little place, and only 4 buxx to play all day (5 if you are 18). And its free if you are under seven. It really is a cool place. Anyways, yes i played in the heat. but it was only nine short holes. Okay, I am going to go and Start the grill......wish me luck. I dont know if i can leave the thread again.

Yeah, he posted earlier a while back... he's skeptical like many of us are. Just wondering...how does Hoops always seem to have the insider info? Is he just really smart...or does he have a job which enables him to inherit information of some sort? It just seems like whenever rumors come up everyone wants his input...and I saw he was poster of the year before. He has friends/aquaintences that are Beat Writers, i do beleive.

I'm really torn. I dont know whether to beleive him or not. My brain says NO NO NO NO NONONONONONONONO. But, boredom and lack of any other information wants me to beleive he is right. I'm trying as hard as I can to not believe this thread. I just hate it when stuff like "A guy from the Reds is getting sent to the bigs!" in the middle of a thread. It makes me have hope. Nothing is worse than hope. I know.

I remember last year right when the deadline had past and Gammons said Nomar was not traded and was staying in Boston. 5 minutes later the story broke that Nomar was traded to the Cubs. That was priceless. And, this is really the best news all day. Now we have the gammons stamp of approval. Thats EXACTLY what he said about Nomar. EXACTLY. Right before it happened too.

That might be a slight overstatement. OBP is much more valuable, but a hit is always better than a walk. I'd rather that people just stopped using BA as a key stat. Agreed. If he can get on base, thats all that matters. Yea, a hit is better than a walk sometiimes, but getting on base is better than not getting on base at all. -

They could always announce the trade after the game was over- in in fact there was a trade. We'll know for sure when the Iowa game starts. If Hill starts the game then this was 20 pages worth of yanked chain. If he gets pulled then apologies will be gladly handed out by me. I always thought that Mientkewicz was a fan favorite. NOt neccisarily. he said today or tomorrow. SO, if he's not full of it, it could still happen tomorrow.

Well, I've seen these rumors alot. I try not to come off as mean spiritied. But one of his posts on the last two pages made me trust him a little less. I guess I'll just have to wait to see how it turns out.

Aren't they going to DL Stormy Weathers? Kearns may be taking his spot. No, they DFA'd Anderson Machado. (which, btw, was in the first post of the link there...) Okay, but they just activated Ryan Freel today too. So they still have one too many players. (assuming they do not send weathes to the dl.
