    Got in once, got a single ticket to the sunday sox game. it's sucky but i can probably still turn a nice profit off of it.

    Your friend is having the luck I had last year. Only 2x through for me so far. No doubt. He's racking them up. I still haven't gotten in once....maybe the cubs knwo i'm planning on selling them. Creepy.

    When's the last time they had 35,000 fans at a game? Honestly. Last year on July 28th. Wow, surprising. Still, its a little sad you have to go back that far.

    It depends on the value. For example, if Murton's value is less than Marlon Byrd's to every team, then I'd rather keep him. If Baltimore or San Diego are willing to put a higher price tag on him (the two teams most rumored to be interested) then I'd deal him. I think the Cubs want to see who their other OF is going to be before dealing Murton. They just can't deal him for a prospect right now without another trade because that would leave the bench too thin. Murton is a sucky bench player anyway. Plus, the way I see it (assuming we carry 12 pitchers like usual) our bench could live without him. I think our bench as of now would be Ward, Fontenot, Cedeno, Blanco, Murton. Replace Murton with Fuld - problem solved. Then you have two players (Ward, Fuld) who can play OF. But I do understand his value is probably minimal right now.

    I don't hate it but that "sail" is going to cast some wicked shadows. Also, it looks like it's low enough to cause havoc with some high fly balls... Just a thought.

    Yeah - if Fuld has anything close to a legitimate shot at CF I'd be really pissed. But I doubt that's true. I don't see Lou honestly starting him - Hell, I don't see him on the 25 man as people have pointed out. Also, looking at that bench - we really need to just trade Murton. I love the guy and I've been advocating him for starter for quite some time now - but there's really no place for him. He's not going to take any time away from Soriano in left, He's not going to take any time away from Fukudome, and he can't play center. So unless for some ungodly reason Lou moves Sori to 2nd then he has no place on this team. Trade him for something useful - and give the kid a chance to start for once.

    Oh please. If it were up to you players would be the absolute most bland boring creatures on the face of the planet. They're human beings for God's sake and they're having fun. As for dempster being a crappy pitcher - yeah, as a starter. As a closer he blew THREE, yeah, THREE saves last year. What a piece of garbage. Lighten up, man. He's having fun.

    I am with you 100%. I've always wondered what a non-pinstripe home white would look like. I'd have to see it before forming an opinion, but it could look good. Oh, and if you're bringing back the blue, put the logo from the pinstripes on them instead of the walking cub.     This sucks. I may not find out if I got the job at wrigley till next saturday. I called in today but they said it's still under evaluation. I need to know by friday so I can know whether to buy tickets or not. I think if I don't know by friday then I'll just buy some tickets then sell them off later if I get the job.

    OH HAPPY DAY! I miss the blue jersies - I mean, I love the home pinstripes but Z just doesn't look right in them. Also, yes - they need to take the names back off. Oh, and the grey road uni's are hideous.

    Is Kosuke trying to determine whether it is better to dive head first, slide feet first or run through an outfield catch? I know what he's NOT doing. Making a lame joke.

    I get such terrible radio service in my dorm. DId he say anything of interest? Not really. Says he loves playing with DeRo but it's win/win whether he's paired with Roberts or DeRosa. Obviously it takes time for middle infielders to develop a rapport, blah blah. Said he took a ton of swings this off-season in order to be a more consistent hitter next year. Nothing earth shattering or new, really. I can swing the bat a million times and still not be any better at baseball, too. That said, I really hope he does come around and start...you know...being good. Because it would make life so much easier.
