And this can be clearly seen by the fact that we don't have a big lead yet in mid-may. if dayn perry is right and we're going to get less pitching and not better pitching (i don't know how much stock i put into it) and slightly worse offense we might be in some danger, holy crap! pick on bigslick now I don't buy the pitching part of that. I don't think there's any doubt that Z can continue to be an ace, especially if he keeps walking as few as he has. Lilly seems to be back to pitching like he did all of last year. I believe that Dempster will probably fall off from where he's at but Gallagher has been showing promise and I think it's a pretty safe assumption that, at some point, hill will be back and not pitching nearly as bad as marquis. The point is, there's no reason to think our pitching is going to fall off. As for the offense, it's highly unlikely we keep having 5 guys put up a .400 OBP but at the same time between Soriano, Lee, Ramirez, Soto, and Fukudome we aren't going to have to worry about scoring runs. Furthermore, we're still the best team in our division. The brewers have fallen off, the Astros have poor pitching, and there's no way the cardinals can keep playing so well with their pathetic pitching staff and meh offense. All in all - It's MAY.
