  1. Obligatory post.
  2. The greatest heckle I ever heard was in the Yankee Stadium bleachers (pre-alcohol ban) with Joe Carter playing for Toronto. The fans were all over him, his fat behind and marital status. A handful of eastern European tourists were thoroughly enjoying the evening, and one got into the act with, "Joe Carter, I've done things with your wife!" nice. My personal favorite from this year is a toss up between the "Sli-ding glass door *clap clap clapclapclap*" they were doing for Hunter Pence or a this guy who shouted "HEY , YOUR BATTING AVERAGE IS SUB-PAR"
  3. I've got the holy grail in my basement.
  4. Please, someone come to the game and shout this. It would really make my day.
  5. Okay, well like i said, I didn't read the article. So the article is correct in the sense that you can't use profanity or make inappropriate comments. The part that is incorrect is the automatic ejection part. I think part of the problem is, though (correct me if i'm wrong) the article makes it sound like this rule is in place specifically for soriano or that this rule is new. Both of these idea's are false. That has always been the rule for every player. EDITED: I feel like the second paragraph is going a little to far into our method of operations. I'm not in the position to talk to the media and, at this point, NSBB reaches enough people that it may as well be another media outlet. Anyway, I think that this is as far as i should go: The incorrect part of the article is the idea that there will be automatic ejections.
  6. Did they really think that it wouldn't? People were calling the Score from the bleachers. Well, the problem is that whoever was telling the fans that they would be ejected for heckling Soriano was giving incorrect information. The rule always has been that you cannot yell profane things towards the field of play, no matter who is playing. We were simply given a heads up that since soriano is stinking it up so bad to be on the lookout because some people will be taking the heckling from acceptable heckling to profane heckling. Unfortunately, someone must have took that the wrong way - whether it be one of us or a fan, idk the situation because I was in right field on the day in question. Anyway, it's really not my place to make any kind of comment on the situation but I don't think I gave anything up there that I wouldn't have to any regular fan during the game. Anywho, take all that for what you will. But I can assure you there is no rule in place that heckling soriano gets you ejected. Then how is what was said in the paper untrue? To be honest i didn't read the article. But to the best of my knowledge what the paper said was that if you heckle soriano you are automatically ejected. That is simply false; first of all, there are very few things at wrigley that will result in an automatic ejection. Secondly, heckling soriano is just fine. Heckle all you want. You simply can not use profane language - which is no different than the rule is for any player - whether he be a cub or an opposing player. But I think the biggest fault of the article is the idea of the "automatic ejection." Even if someone was to shout towards the field "Soriano you %^&ing BUM," something that is obviously profane, he wouldn't be ejected. We would simply go to him, ask him not to use the profane language again, and that would be the end of it. I hope that was clear enough, because that's about as far as I feel comfortable going with an explanation; at least in the subject area of our method of operation.

  8. For the record, that thing in the tribune about automatic ejection is incorrect. Our boss was livid that that somehow made it in there.
  9. I wonder who is announcing this game on espn. Over/under on times that Fukudome and Kuroda are compared to non-asians. I'll set it at 2 and take the under.
  10. He would have had a bad week then they would have sent him down to the minors and signed a 38 year old outfielder who just got cut by the worst offense in baseball to take his place.
  11. The Ramirez 9th inning home run in Colorado was the biggest "eff yeah" moment of the season still. Especially because we were on fire and that eventual win put us at 15-6. Agreed. That had the feel of Milwaukee last year at the time. Then we had to go and blow the save. lame.
  12. If I were them i'd ask to be traded.
  13. And why would a Cub fan PAY for that torture? So he can share it with us.
  14. If we do, then we'll be sham division champs.
  15. I'll save you the time The game is cancelled after 7 innings Cubs go to the World Series But then the WS is mysteriously cancelled due to bud selig wanting to take the weeks vacation.
  16. so wait, where has reds44 been to tell us how wrong we were about dusty?
  17. That last part is ridiculously true. We already had japanese media setting up today for all the coverage they're going to be doing tomorrow.
  18. What about it don't you buy? In theory it makes sense.
  19. He just kinda stood there He gave this kinda half-assed jump attempt, idk what that was about.
