  1. Hooray for baseball. Also, LOL at don baylor.
  2. Did I mention i'm glad i'm not there? anyway, i'm watching this on HD for an hour or two. Hot damn.
  3. Hou@Pitt - Pitt up 5-0 already Cin@Mil - 7:05 STL@Ariz - 8:40 Oh, and after climbing out to an 8-4 lead after 4, the whitesox (vs. the tigers) have let the lead slip to 8-6. In case anyone cared.
  4. Just fine. Apparently it's only a little strain. Not worried. However, today's lineup does look 2006-esque.
  5. Well crap. Ramirez is hurt and Miles blows hard.
  6. Look at OMC's post about half way down the second page.
  7. And she doesn't like having to buy them "from strangers". Yeah, and shes too lazy to boil them and dry them...there was just a whole lot wrong with that commercial. It was hilarious though that she was saying all of this while walking through the forest. But I almost threw up while watching it. And it wasn't like I was watching Matlock or something, it was Hook, a damn kids movie. Now in order to not see that commercial again I have to watch the Sox pre-game. That may be more vomit-inducing.
  8. Oh, and for the record - if the game was going to be cancelled it would have been so already. The gates opened (or were scheduled to) ten minutes ago. Thus, i'd assume that from here on out they're going to try their damndest to get it in.
  9. They can and they will. Saturday when I was there they really made it sound like they wanted to get it in. And because there's lights at wrigley they'll push that beast back as long as they can to get it in. Also, on a semi-related note. I'm reallyreally glad i'm not there today. It's nasty outside.
  10. lol that standing ovation was pathetic.
  11. And it gets broken up on a broken bat looper to right field with one out in the sixth.
  12. Mark DeRosa hit a homer today. And Josh Johnson has a no-no going through 5 against the mets.
  13. The Mets left fielder pulled a Brant Brown a little earlier in the marlins/mets game. Dropped an easy fly ball as he was standing at the wall. He was standing right under it and just let it fall through his glove.
  14. Stupid me and my stupid only 12 homers. Stupid.
  15. Oh, and I forgot to add: I hate Angel Hernandez a lot. It would be swell if he umped a good game, today.
  16. Yup. Captain and Pepsi and Vodka Lemonades will be new additions to the drink menu.
  17. Yeah, I remember that. What the hell was that, anyway?
  18. I really, really think that it has a lot to do with the fact that he isn't going to get worn out so quick this year. He started out the year tearing the cover off the ball last year, too. Then he wore down because of his ridiculous workout schedule (2 hrs extra batting practice before most games) and the huge increase in travel and such. They worked on his core a lot, apparently, this offseason. I'm very confident in him. Like you said, not to hit .500 but I'm confident he can post .290/.380 avg/obp with a decent slg.
  19. I'm taking a basic Meteorology class this semester and my teacher ( , lol) was saying he's pretty sure there is going to be some rain interference for the home opener. Take that for what it's worth but yeah.
  20. Dude, i'm in college. I can't afford that much booze.
  21. Yeah, but it still doesn't bother me. They changed the Budweiser sign in sept/oct last year anyway and made it blue with the word "drinkability" on it. Now it's just something new for the dude who owns that building to probably make more money off of.
  22. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are playing at 12:10 Houston and St. Louis are playing at about 1:15 Yeah. There you go. Happy Easter.
  23. I really like Gonzalez he is one of the top 5 1B IMO. He can potentially be a FA after next year and with Lee's contract up next year I hope we can make a run at him. Gonzalez won't be a free agent til after 2011. According to http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/2005/01/san-diego-padres.html he has a club option for 2011 @$5.5 Mil. I am assuming they will pick that up as that is a bargain for the production, but it's always possible the Padres try to save some money and let him go. If they're trying to save money they are not going to let go a really good first basemen for 5.5 mil. That is the definition of saving money.
