  1. That's Klaw. -------------- I really want Bryant to sign, like yesterday. Also, if he doesn't sign can he go back to college ball if he's hired an agent? Technically he doesn't have an agent. Boras is his "advisor." lol, that is some kinky ass [expletive] right there.
  2. Say he was in A ball... what would his K rate be? I have no clue, but I bet it would still be highly alarming.
  3. You should try to listen to Harold Reynolds talk about the increase in striking out. Actually, don't, because your brain might start hemorrhaging.
  4. Pierce Johnson started in Mesa, if that means anything.
  5. doesnt he have like 1 hit in his last 10 games or something? Don't use those arbitrary end points, use these: last 27 G: .320/.418/.660 (.321 babip), 9.8% BB: 14.8%
  6. Working link: http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130620&content_id=51223274&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_t446&sid=t446
  7. Well, when he's on, he has a nice 92-94 mph FB and a good slider but no third pitch so his ceiling is probably a late inning pen arm. He's immensely raw since he's a position player convert and he's got pretty poor control, so he's going to take a long time.
  8. The prophet has come. Huh? Your statement about Wainwright was prophetic. Thus, you are a prophet.
  9. Yao-Ling Wang pitching great this year out of the pen. Would like to see Rosscup bumped to Iowa and Wang to Tenn.
  10. Wainwright has given up more than 3 ER once in 14 starts this year. Bang Biscuit.
  11. Holy [expletive] and I thought Castro was bad. Castro's wOBA is 10 points higher, but Andrus is much better defensively and is probably having the better season :( Andrus has actually manged 0.3 fWAR because of his defense.
  12. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/22465400/report-san-jose-city-council-to-sue-mlb-for-not-allowing-as-to-move City of San Jose suing MLB for not allowing the A's to move.
  13. I don't know how to equate LD% and BABIP, but a .268 BABIP with a LD% of 20 seems low.
  14. fWAR update: -0.8
  15. Because he's striking out 5.2/9 in AAA at 27 years old. They're basically the same age, and one is dominating MLB hitters and one is getting by on an abnormally HR rate against AAA hitters. His K rate is going to jump if he's coming out of the bullpen to face lefties. Russell's K rate in the minors was 6.4.
  16. Marshall might have been been too high of praise, I admit. But I don't see why he couldn't evolve into James Russell.
  17. He's been really solid this year. I think he ends up as the next Sean Marshall/James Russell type.
  18. It'll all come down to a changeup and/or cutter for him. I doubt he's had to use more than his two best pitches to dominate the MWL. Really want to see him in Daytona.
