I'm not saying you are wrong, or that Theriot was right in swinging at the first pitch, but on a scale of 1-100 how intentional do you think that walk was? I'm not watching but I assumed with first base open and 2 outs, a 4 pitch walk was probably less control issues and more pitching around to get a force at 1st, 2nd and 3rd. -
No....basically Lou didn't come through for him 1 or 2 different times in August 2008, now Lou will never trust him in that situation ever again.

Rose would never throw someone into the scorers table for no reason.

I think comparing him to LeBron in this respect is a poor idea, considering LeBron is what 6'8 260? And Rose is 6'3 190? When LeBron bullrushes the lane it's almost impossible to get out of the way. Either he's going to knock your ass on the ground or blow right through you for a dunk. And he's quick and agile enough to get to a point before anyone can charge him. He's just a freakish athlete with his size and the agility and speed of a person much smaller than him. It's hard not to foul him when he gets in there.

I think off the court Rose is a wuss, but he's been a beast on the court. Showing a lot more emotion and leadership on the court than last year. No he's not a cocky jackass or anything, or a player who thinks every foul against him is a crime against humanity, but he's got court swagger. Not enough. He's got as much as LeBron did after his second year

BTW, anyone notice how far Rose fell off shooting wise in the 2nd half last night? He started out the game 10-15 shooting for 20 points, and from that point on shot 2-12. Overall in the 2nd half he was productive (4-14 shooting, 15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 TO, 6-6 FT), but you gotta wonder if the Bulls would still be alive if Rose shot as well to end the game as he did to start it. They were mostly the same shots he was taking earlier in the game too, just misses.

So much for that....they were sold out for all 8 games (4 games each series) by 10:05. Except for Game D of Round 3, which I was able to pull up 2 $105 seats for. But it wasn't worth to me to buy tickets to a game that would only occur if the Red Wings beat the Sharks, Blackhawks beat the Canucks, and the Wings and Hawks went to 7 games. If that did happen I'll cry that I didnt buy tickets but the chances of it happening aren't huge. -

should be an insane atmosphere. the phoenix crowds have been pretty good Blah, the Bulls game was the only competitive game between the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight. I don't think the Sharks will be able to beat the Wings. I think this series goes 6 at most.

I love how everyone thinks the officials suck, but fans of every team only see it as sucking against them. On RealGM, the Bulls posters were comparing the officiating to Kings-Lakers. So I go over to realcavsfans to see if they see the same stuff I am seeing, and they are talking about how horrible the officials were for them. Something has to be done about the officiating, or at least the perception about the officiating. Discussions about the refs seemingly dominate the discussion of games. Everyone thinks refs are biased against certain teams/players, or just the home team in general. And way too many people really believe that games are fixed on a regular basis. I realize that officiating basketball is tough, and no matter how good they are, they are going to miss calls. But I really wish the NBA would work to change that perception so everyone would shut up about the refs.* *said by a poster who was constantly bitching about the officiating on RealGM tonight (although not nearly as bad as the majority of posters)

I think the Bears passed on Faneca, because of what happen with Orlando Pace. I know it's apples to oranges, but I read it somewhere as that is the reason. Maybe, but it hasn't been that long since Rueben Brown was around. He worked out. So they are 1 for 2.

Fair enough. Maybe I should know what I'm talking about before I get on my soapbox. I just saw a former Pro Bowl OLineman who is old but not finished (so I thought) signing for just 2.5 million and knowing how desperately the Bears need O-line help, whether they admit it or not.

We couldn't have given him 5 million for a year to pry him away from Arizona? I would have felt a lot better about the upcoming season had we signed him. Have we any reason to believe the O-line will be any better than last year? I hate when we have glaring holes and just completely ignore them in the offseason. I realize the Bears had many glaring holes last year, but O-line was one of the biggest if not the biggest.

I'm trying to recall correctly. I know Chris Harris caught an interception on the Colts first possession of the SB, but was he also the guy who everyone at first blamed for the missed coverage that led to Wayne's wide open TD? Or was that Daniel Manning? As I type this out I'm thinking more and more it was Manning.

I tried to drop Pujols on my fantasy team today, and it wouldn't let me. Apparently he's a can't cut player. SOB! I threw his name out there in trade offers before his value completely plummets, and the only offer I'm getting back is Greg Zaun and a pick of Orioles starting pitchers. Son of a bitch.
