    I really hate fans that think the Cubs are only about them. Sing any and every song they want. It's not about just you. Whatever makes people love the Cubs more is okay. If you think a song is annoying and makes you like a team less it just means you aren't really a fan. Just shut up and enjoy the team. If it means more fans go to the game and spend more money than be happy. Sheesh.

    Which is exactly what we should have expected. We weren't exactly giving up CC Sabathia here. When you are trading a 34-year-old pitcher who is considered second-tier, you aren't going to get a top 5 prospect. It's a fine trade. Pretty much agreed.

    I guess I'll give this trade a so-so. Not overwhelmed but it's not horrible either.

    So you are saying you are currently underwhelmed based on the fact you have no idea who the Cubs are getting back in the trade? Exactly what I said above. I am underwhelmed if Dewitt is the main guy we are getting back.

    Do they like Alex Gordon? Nope, they absolutely hate him. So do a lot of the "uninformed" fans around KC. I keep trying to explain to them about how potential and give him time, but that doesn't work too well. I cheer for the Royals because they are in my hometown (Cubs are where my heart is), but I think so many years of utter disgusting baseball has finally driven some fans insane. They've been promised "We're rebuilding" way too many times by this point.

    May as well have just kept the overpaid black version. My conversation with my parents, die hard Royals fans went like this: Me: Royals traded Pods. Parents: Why? He was terrific! Me: He was going to be a free agent and he's not even that good. Parents: He was hitting over .300! Me: But the Royals are out of it anyways. Parents: But couldn't we have tried to win a few games this year?!? My Dad then said he was done with the team for this year. It's so hard to talk baseball with my parents.

    I'm unironically rooting for the Reds to win the World Series too bad Adam Dunn isn't there anymore Eh, of the teams close right now I want either the Twins or the Padres.

    So they are talking about the recap of the game and they are blaming Silva for not covering first on the play that Nady obviously got there first. So it's Silva's fault that he didn't cover first that that play happened. Silva was stupid, but the guy was out. It's only the ump's fault. I hate ESPN.

    I'm so happy that I was on the phone with my Dad for the last 10-20 minutes. What'd he say? And does he not realize he is one of the top ten catchers in baseball? Probably higher than that but I'm not not going to work to prove Morgan wrong.
