    Why must be I be a secondary fan of this team? I guess it's cause I live here, but still...Being a #1 fan of the Cubs and my #2 team is the Royals...it's just not fair.

    A fan in the Pirates-Cards game fell over the rail and was injured tonight. It appeared he also was there with his kid who was impaired. Is it really bad that I thought Pujols was an amazing human being for staying the entire time, giving the kid a couple pats on the back, and making sure the fan was okay? It made me really like Pujols. AND I HATE PUJOLS! First time I've ever started to like a guy as a human being yet still hate him as a competitor. The kid was taken out on the go-cart while the fan was stretchered out with his neck braced. He did give a thumbs up though so hopefully he's okay. I only saw bits and pieces but I think the fan was reaching over on a grounder that was foul down the first base line.

    Eww. Maybe it's awesome, but I have a problem with a cheesesteak in a place that's not known for cheesesteaks. But I guess I now have two sandwiches to try since they both are in Kansas.

    Don't be sad. If you want a delicious sub in Kansas you should just go to Mr. Goodcents. That would be my vote. The Penny Club with the stardard press, spicy mustard and mayo. You're set. I'm intrigued. What meats are in the Penny Club and what's a standard press? I must investigate.

    Is this the one with the different scene? It was getting old when everyone of them was the same scene repeated with different words, but at least the new scene made it a little better. For some reason it's the only Youtube video I never get tired of. I can watch Hitler bashing on the Reds, Cubs, the Rockets, Cowboys...whatever. I still laugh.

    Greinke plays for the Royals? A total sham. I'm cheering for the NL, but Greinke deserves to be in there second.

    Totally agree. It would be fine if there were no DH, but since we have it, let's use it in a game that needs it.

    My dad's a Cardinals fan. Be happy with your situation. And no, the Cardinals are not my second favorite team. Eesh. Don't know if I could take that.

    Jeesh...you've had a tough life Between the Cubs, Royals, and the Chiefs I'm on a suicide watch. At least I have KU basketball.

    Every damned year my dad makes fun of me at the All-Star game ... and he's a Royals fan!!!! Looks like one more year of embarassment. (I'm a Royals fan second to the Cubs.)

    I really wish Soriano could still play even a slightly below average second base. And that Fox could do the same in left.

    Fox might have been a better option overall there, but I don't think it was all that bad a non-move either. And I kind of 30-70 agree with you. Definitely not something that should be an open and shut case. I'd go with Fox, but going with Fontenot is not the worst decision ever.

    Just out of curiosity, where would you have brought them in? Total fantasy baseball here, but how about Fox PH'ing for Fontenot, Fox going to third if we tie it up. Ramirez out, Blanco at 2nd? I could see that. Problem is we eliminate one of the best bats on the team for however long the game lasts in that scenario. And I see that point as well. Especially if the game was tied. But with us behind we have to at least try to tie it. But I'm totally looking in hind sight.

    how can a GM that most would rate as decidedly average be overrated? well he's apparently the worst in baseball so clearly the people rating him as average are overrating him. I guess he really is the worst. God knows I've been pining for the GM's of the Nationals, Astros and Mariners to come in and replace Hendry.... Hendry has done a piss poor job in assembling the 3rd highest payroll in the game; hell the Cubs payroll this year is even higher than the Red Sox Any GM with that kind of payroll backing should be able to put a team on the field that is better than this mess we are stuck with this season I knew our payroll was extremely high, definitely top 5. But hearing it's the 3rd highest and above the Red Sox? That's really sad.

    I'm going to miss that guy. My favorite rotation of the past 15-20 years is still Prior, Wood, Zambrano, Clement.

    I am a manager at Jimmy John's. Good food, but after a few years it gets a little old. #10 with dijon and peppers for the win. Anyways, right now, if I could choose a sub it would definitely be Potbelly's. I've only eaten there twice when I went off to training in Illinois, but I loved it. Too bad there aren't any in Kansas. :(

    To me it's the same as a no call-no show in any job I've worked. Unfortunately, we need him. I've never really liked Z's attitude, but I don't know how you fix it after you let it get to this point.
