  1. The Bulls won't get one single seed higher if Rose plays with Team USA. But the injury risk could wreck their season.
  2. I don't even see a point you are making here. He has all season to get into shape. He has 6 months of games to get ready for what really matters - the '14 NBA playoffs. No reason to risk playing with Team USA.
  3. You are much more likely to miss significant time due to injury next year playing ball with Team USA than anything else
  4. You do what is necessary to prepare, but the extra stuff seems like a slap in the face if you can't play in the playoffs 2 months after being cleared. Playing with Team USA isn't necessary.
  5. It's not that it's more likely to occur vs preseason stuff, but it's more likely to occur than typical summer workouts I bet
  6. A totally new injury could occur. Easy to say when you're not paying him $17 million a year.
  7. Unnecessary time on the knee where he could injure that or something else is always the concern
  8. If Rose practices with team USA, is that a good thing? Do you want him to be involved in something closer to game action, or can that wait for the preseason?
  9. At least it wasn't a blowout
  10. Was? He changed his mind?
  11. Tiger is using a 3 iron bent to 2 iron loft. It is not the VR Pro blade either. It's VRS cavity back. http://www.golfwrx.com/75621/tiger-woods-winning-witb-photos/
  12. Oh come on, you've been around here long enough to know how badly this post is going to be destroyed, so why even bother? What kind of player will Rizzo turn out to be? I already said this was a great deal for the Cubs, but it makes no sense to compare his contract or play to Votto after being with the Cubs for less than a year. It makes no sense to purposefully avoid comparing his contract or play to other players at his position. That's like the basis of nearly all conversations about baseball. You don't do that with first year players as much. It's different if we are talking established ones.

  14. LOL you are so fail. 2013 wOBA: Rizzo - .393 Votto - .395 Hasn't been in the bigs for a year yet. We don 't know exactly what kind of player he'll settle into. That's why he was available in the first place.
  15. I thought he did have a 2 iron right now
  16. McCain says NFL stadiums that get public funding should not have games blacked out. Already on in visiting team's market. As simple as flipping a switch. Agree?
  17. And 1/3 as good Yeah...no. And even if he were just 1/3 as good as Votto this season (not even close), Votto's locked up to his age 39 season, at which point he might just be 1/3 as good as Rizzo at 31. Which the article explicitly says. Which means you didn't even try to read it. The point I was obviously trying to make is that when one player is far and away better than the other why compare salaries Votto is presently better. He's not far and away better. And when you factor in age, well.... Yes the MVP is. We don't even know what Rizzo is yet.

  19. Tiger could take down Snead's all time PGA win record this year. One driver all day. 280 yard 5 woods off the tee. Best putter on Tour. Not fair.
  20. Why would Rizzo's agent go for that deal?
  21. Why would Rizzo's agent go for that deal?
  22. It's a cavernous building and most of the lower levels on either sideline are filled with rich people who don't yell? Chicago crowds in general kind of suck in terms of sustaining energy and noise. The only game I can think of off the top of my head that was an exception there was the 2010 NFC Championship. I thought the game to end Miami's steak at the UC had a ton of sustained energy from start to finish
