i would want to distance myself from that deal as well, that was a meatball contract. i don't know if theo was trying to be ironically funny with that signing, but it wasn't good. A deal like that would never happen outside of Boston and New York where they have money to spend like that (yeah I know, Soriano). Crawford was very good the year before though. It's easy to say what a horrible deal it was now because Crawford played like s*** last year. But he hit .307 the previous season with 90 RBI's, 19 home runs, 47 stolen bases, and a .356 OBP.
