    It's possible this is the first time he's even in town through all of this. The meetings with the Cubs brass reportedly happened in NY. Hmm, I did not know that. That said, I think he has seen the offices based on him being in town a few weekends ago.     I hope he doesn't look at Hendry's old office and fly back to Boston :-$ Maybe the Triangle Building project will finally get underway, after all ... Yes and I'd have to think he already saw where is offices would be when he interviewed with Ricketts a few weekends ago. Just having some fun. Can't wait until 2PM tomorrow. That presser should be at least an hour long with all the local and national media there.     Well, Bowa is and has been ready to get back into managing in some capacity. If he ends up as bench coach, I think it would be an amazing move.

    Larry Bowa as bench coach would be amazing. What is Mark Grace going to do make sure the beer is tapped? Hire Matt Stairs as hitting coach (though he is still playing as of 2011) and then we really have a party.

    That presser is going to be something else. First order of business, who's managing next year? After that, who's on first? And I really have and want to believe Ricketts also wanted Theo (top 3 GM in the game) in the fold to add instant credibility to make a push at Albert/Prince.

    Gammons would marry Theo if he could. He absolutely would love for him to stay and has taken every possible shot at the Cubs during this whole process as if to say to Theo: "Why the hell do you want to go there"?

    And if the Red Sox are "optimistic", this only means we have up'd the ante with regards to compensation. Have to feel like McNutt or Vitters are going to bean town.

    You'd have to think Cherington is getting a little "ticked" at Red Sox brass as well. I mean, here's a guy ready to take over and ownership is basically saying we never wanted Theo to go (At least Henry said that). In one sentence, they say they have full confidence in Cherington, yet are they really saying that by their actions during this whole process? The Cubs have offered compensation in the form of big money and prospects to easy Henry's pain. He is clearly acting like a jilted lover at this point. And with Selig having seen just about enough, Henry needs to let go before he looks like a bigger fool(should it come to Selig getting involved) than he already does.

    Kap is in full denial mode. Bottom line is he wanted to be the first to break the story and when he thought he had it, he tweeted it to the world. Now he looks foolish.

    Wow, Laura! It appears ol Bud has had enough of this garbage that the Red Sox are dishing out. Good to hear but this was an obvious bullet fired at Henry and Luchino to [expletive] or get off the pot.
