  1. They actually have a pretty legit monsoon season. interesting. Tayler Scott (5th rounder last year) has a really good curve. No idea where his fastball is sitting.
  2. i was unaware rain was possible in arizona.
  3. I wonder if there is an actual reason Raley's k rate has spiked after moving to Iowa. pretty decent sample size at this point
  4. Who wants Soto at this point and what's his value? Above average defensively, great pitch framer, but bat looks terrible. still get you a top 30 guy?
  5. Earlier today I jokingly tweeted Brett that I heard scouts were going to watch Garza's bullpen on Mon. I'd laugh my ass off if that actually happened.
  6. Szczur with his first hit and walk at AA. Threw someone out at 2B as well.
  7. are you knocking the all-powerful Timothy Saunders?
  8. So after 100 PA, Rizzo has only 4 walks and only 12 K. Didn't see that coming.
  9. KG's mid-season 50, transcribed by me for your reading pleasure: (2012 draftees not eligible) 1. Profar 2. Myers 3. Bundy 4. Taveras 5. Machado 6. Taijuan Walker 7. Lindor 8. D'Arnaud 9. Castellanos 10. Billy Hamilton 11. Mike Olt 12. Gerrit Cole 13. Jose Fernandez 14. Zach Wheeler 16. Julio Teheran 17. Miguel Sano 18. Archie Bradley 19. Skaggs 20. Odorizzi 21. Bubba Starling 22. 12. Just when you think Phil Rogers has reached the peak of stupidity, he comes up with this gem.
  13. they negotiated the cba in which that is legal to do. plus, he'd be getting paid so labor laws really wouldn't apply. it's legal to not play a player because you're butthurt he used his 10/5 rights?
  14. i'm sure the players union will have no problem with that
  15. http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/texas-rangers/post/_/id/4888556/does-zack-greinke-deal-put-pressure-on-texas Hypothetical question: If the Cubs finalize a Dempster for Delgado trade, and they were able to trade Garza for Olt + Top 15 ranked pitcher, and that's all we get out of Dempster and Garza (Delgado and Olt the primary pieces) would everyone consider that a disappointment, a push, or a good return? That'd be an unqualified success, IMO ... partly riding on the Delgado aspect, which no one could forsee as a possibility. I know the Rangers idea of Olt and an arm is drawing interest amongst people here, but if we could get the Dodgers to fork over Zach Lee, that'd be my preferred route, even if it'd be a touch riskier. Are you saying you'd do Garza for Zach Lee over Garza for Olt and Perez?
  16. i wonder if teams still want to make him a reliever.
  17. Delgado, Olt, and Perez would be an amazing haul.
  18. Vogelbach with another hit. Liner up the middle.
  19. Vogelbach with an opposite field gapper on the 10th pitch of AB. <3
