One of the Pirate announcers said that there has been 400 pitches thrown in this 4 hour game: "That's a pitch per minute!" The idiot thinks an hour is 100 minutes! -

See what I mean, David? After 3 straight extra inning games and the starter being replaced in the 3rd in the 4th game last night their pen is gassed! Worst starter going and Carpenter in a mini-slump, Molina in a real one. Everything pointed to a Card loss. But I was not tricked. However, I was too gutless to bet on them. #-o

Did you bet on this one? No, Dave. I laid off. Everything points to a Card win because this is the most likely game for them to lose in the series. So I figure they will win it. See? Baseball "logic".

I'll tell you fella's something that nobody seems to realise...except for the Cubs the Cardinals have yet to play a team over .500 Reds, Phillies, Brewers et al. St. Louis is not as good as advertised. Unless the hopeless Lyons has the game of his life tonight....Cubs win. :good:

I hoped that would be the case. Could that in any way influence staying with WGN? Or is it a done deal already? A lot of fringe fans around the country like myself will be cut out... just when the team is getting very watchable.WGN America is on record stating they're done with Chicago sports, which makes perfect sense since live sports is the only reason anyone still has cable or satellite. Thank you.

Not at all. I'm not discussing the Cubs am I? I'm talking about this forum and how it feels as a new member to be treated badly. I won't be back here to talk baseball 'till the Cubs turn it around and the climate is less negative. Stop wallowing in this century of losing thing. None of you here is 106 years old. You should stop talking about stuff. The only wallowing here is in the past 5 years of pathetic baseball the Cubs have had. If you want to tell a fan to not be negative about 5 years of horrible baseball, you are an idiot. By the way, those references mean you are talking about baseball. Just can't resist being insulting, can you?
