  1. One Vote: Alberto Cabrera. Still has the electric arm and unlike all the other electric arms left in the system, this one's almost fully developed. Expecting a strong spring.
  2. Cabrera and Rivero. I still believe in Cabrera's arm. Gonna find out if i'm right the next six weeks.
  3. Win or loss i love when these old ones pop up. Thanks for posting. The bottom third of the lineup that day? Vance Law-Dunston-Bielecki. 89 was such a fun year.
  4. It's irrelevant to me. Especially after 7 years in the system. How long dose he get to live on his pedigree? plz look up how many prospects in the system had 100+ AB's and a higher ISO than Vitters. (hint - not many) (it was three) (Two were Baez and Bryant) that says more about the system Han it does about Vitters.i know i'm late, but this might be one of the dumbest things i've ever read on NSBB. Kudos.
  5. I think we're overplaying the strength of that depth if we're just going to say somebody like Jimenez can't crack the top 20. All of these guys are either unproven or what they have proven isn't all that impressive. Agree. While Ramirez is older/closer to the bigs, Jimenez has a lot more potential, which swings it his way for me.
  6. Jimenez, Pineyro, N.Ramirez
  7. Yeah, I'd be in on him at 3/39. Fo sho. That's a gamble to take. Now, a lot of other teams might be too. But soon here we need to start winning.
  8. This is where I've slotted in Jimenez. With no idea if its the right spot. Shot in the dark.
  9. They're close. Zastryzny is a level higher, has better command and is left-handed, so i'll go with him.
  10. he's thrown 24 innings above AA, so i dont think its unreasonable after all the time off to think he'll start there, given the absolute GLUT of arms we've signed to MLC's this offseason.
  11. Wonder when Ubaldo and Ervin Santana are going to sign, and what their contracts will be due to the draft pick stigma. I’d be all for us signing Ubaldo if his price comes down to the 3/39 or 4/48 range.
  12. I'd have him right after Zastryzny (who is my one vote here). I think you guys are underrating the value of a guy who has progressed through the minors and turned into a decent MLB player. Maybe not the same upside, but he's definitely not busted like a lot of these guys will.
  13. where'd that poll go
  14. so Regin is a center...i dont see how we have room for him on lines 1-4 without someone else getting dumped. I watch most of the games, and follow the team, but dont know the roster machinations as much as i do with the cubs. Anyone care to help me here?
  15. i'm still at the altar that is Eric Patterson
  16. Raisin, i have Pineyro 19th on my list. Any chance we can get him added to the list sometime soon? I saw some good scouting reports on his secondary stuff, and I think he's got a chance to be something.
  17. Zastryzny Vizcaino Blackburn
  18. Us having Olt around the 11/12 range is going to look silly in September. Either he's back to 2012 Olt (in which case he's way higher than this) or he's really broken in which case he's not anywhere near the top 20.
  19. #bonerjams
  20. My wild guesses at rotations until someone gets hurt/we hear new news: AAA: Hendricks/Ramirez/Grimm/Alb. Cabrera/Jokisch (This assumes we don’t carry Cabrera on the big league roster and he gets thru waivers. Don’t have Rusin here because as of now he’s our 5th starter. If and when we sign another arm, he’d slot in here and Jokisch would be heading to the group of about 15 bullpen arms for this squad) AA: Edwards/Johnson/Pineyro/Black/Beeler (I don’t see them promoting Beeler to AAA Iowa to start – look at the mess above) Hi-A: Zastryzny/Skulina/B.Wells/T.Scott/Heesch (I suppose Peralta is an option here) Lo-A: Blackburn/Maples/Torrez/Paniagua/Pugliese (Maples is a wild card. Who knows. He could be at Daytona. Paniagua’s a big wildcard too) The top arms staying at extended ST would then be Underwood, Leal, Conway, Carlos Rodriguez, Tyler Clifton, Ryan McNeil. Thoughts?
  21. Candelario Olt Zastryzny The scouting reports on Hendricks preclude me from putting him ahead of these 3.
  22. Yeah, I was all set to go Vogelbach/Candelario/Vizcaino until I read the quotes about Arodys from Cubs Convention. maybe its silly, but after i heard the same over th weekend i dropped Arodys down to 13th on my list.
  23. Balaguert as well. yep I don't get the Hannemann sucks thing. What's your reasoning? I just don't think he's very good. Didnt like the draft pick. He couldn't stay healthy late this summer, which isnt good for a guy who's already in dire need of game action. He'll be 23 in April... Every positive writeup on him has been based on projection, and i'm not really feeling it. I dont think he belongs anywhere near the top 25 in a system as deep as ours. I've got Dunston and Balaguert ahead of him in my rankings.
  24. Balaguert as well. yep
  25. Alcantara Pierce Vogelwalk Also Jacob Hannemann sucks. Dunston >> Hannemann
