  1. How did the umps help the Yankees put up any runs? They prolonged inning after inning which gave the Yanks there shots time and time again to just hit. That's how they helped the Yanks put up the runs. The Umpire came out and admitted to only 2 blow calls: Swisher, the Double play at 3rd. But there were still 3 other plays that he missed to: 2 plays at home and the pick off play at 2nd base and all of which you were able to see clear as day that they were missed. How does Tim McClelland look at the reply after the game and only admit to those plays. When even Fox was pointing out the miss calls and going as far as slow mo or freeze shots. East Coast Bias is starting to show signs of life. Article: http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2009/10/21/umpire-in-game-4-admits-he-blew-calls/
  2. The umpires in this game have been horrible no question about it. While they got the Swisher play wrong, I am guess that they know that they have been screwing up all game on the Angels so they felt that they had to give 1 back to the Angels. But it's a little late helping the Yanks put up 5 runs. Thanks Umpires.
  3. I was first upset about the call however the call was right in favor of the yankees on the Aybar play. As Aybar that time never touched the bag while all game long he was touching the bag.
  4. Good Game by both teams. But I do agree that Manny in his last at bat was a complete waste swinging at anything and everything to win the game. Just get a hit and keep the rally going, but don't kill it. Congrats to the Phils for taking the first game, maybe a sweep is possible.
  5. Yankees are starting to think about going with just a 3 man rotation for this series.
  6. Those are the only two options? Yeah, either way Angels walk out with this series as well. It will be a good one if it goes long.
  7. that's the Dre Bly everyone knows...the Deion wannabe.
  8. It was a great day for the Angels to get this monkey off there back. Next up is the Yankees...either it will be a good series or the Angels will end up sweeping them as well.
  9. what about Angels vs Phillies?
  10. that ball was smoked to CF by Aybar. It's looking good for the Angels and payback for the last 3 yrs would be sweet if they swept Boston.
  11. Considering the towels were being waved behind him, I really dont see how it matters. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/stories.nsf/cardinals/story/7814EBF67D15291B8625764A000A41DA?OpenDocument Adam just made himself look like a fool. Like you said the towels were behind him and also there is no one towels are going to bug you if they are in front of you anyway as they would be hear home plate, because your not going to pay attention to the sides of you.
  12. I tried to watch this game, but with the colors of the uniforms so similar it was hard to watch. From some of the game that I was able to watch while watching the Angels series...the game play was pretty solid for the most part. Also Fassel was more energized for this game than Dennis Green was. Dennis Green came off as if it was like dang what am I doing here. To start the game Green was trying to give a speech to his players, but they were wearing head phones and he just wasn't really giving one. The impressive thing was seeing the Locos on the first drive of the game hold the ball for 9 mins capped off with a FG and in the end having 4 drives that went 10 plays or more. You hardly see that now. But this was like your minor leagues to the major leagues. I would like to see the NFL use the UFL as there minor league system like when they had NFL Europe.
  13. check this out as to what CB Bucknor does in the off season. A guy named CMSB on our twitter page posted this...http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pX4Kx4Ow0Wo/Ss62DexnCUI/AAAAAAAAA8k/d2c6_JGErb4/s1600-h/ScreenHunter_02+Oct.+09+00.01.gif
  14. thank goodness Howie hasn't scored on the blue's 2 missed calls at first, because I don't want to give the Red Sox fans a reason to start the complaining early.
  15. I wish TBS would get someone else to do the games.
  16. isn't that the total opposite of interesting that is true...haha. Just caught that now.
  17. Pretty darn close. 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009. Red Sox are 9-1 against the Angels in three previous years with two sweeps. Angels have to feel like they're reliving the same bad dream every year. For a Angel it is like living in a real life nightmare, but you just wish that you get lucky and end that horrible dream. If you can eventually fend of Freddy Kruger you can do that to the Red Sox.
  18. It's going to be interesting what happens with Cabrera and the Tigers, I expect nothing. However the GM is going to meet with Cabrera and also the other too is that after the last game between the Tigers and White Sox he went out to bar or something like that with the Whi9te Sox team.
  19. the Dodgers already throw themselves into a whole and then in game 3 they think Padilla has a shot at winning that game...I say that game he will get lit up. With that said Carpenter pitches a shut up for game 1 and it will lead to a sweep.
  20. this is going to be a low scoring game.
  21. Angels vs Twins in the ALCS Cardinals vs Phillies in the NLCS Is how we want to see it break down, but this years playoffs has a chance to actually be a good one as both the Red Sox and Yankees can get knocked out in the first round.
  22. 14 yrs and your going to finally fire a guy that he did everything that was asked of him. He changed his style when it was asked of him, he wasn't the reason why Cameron, Hoffman, Roberts were let go. He was told to not go after him. Bad move I hope Moorad knows what he's doing.
  23. This one, kind of saw it coming as Vernon Wells mentioned the other day that it was getting bad in Toronto with him there.
  24. heard that it was coming, but no official word has came down today and Moorad said that they are still evaluating the situation. He said there will be a announcement on Monday.
  25. i feel like chicago, detroit, vancouver and san jose are pretty much locks to make the playoffs... it wouldn't shock me if calgary, st. louis or anaheim miss out although i do think they all get in. agree for the most part, although i think there's a gap between the top 4 in the east (pitt, philly, boston, wash) and the rest. though carolina is still a good team and who knows about jersey, they won the division last year and with lemaire back they could always get 110 pts while winning 50 games by one goal. You still can't sleep on Montreal Canadians in the east, because of them not being all that consistent at times...they can sneak up and play with the best of them. I like this team a lot better than last yr as they have gotten rid of some of the problems kids to move forward with being a little tougher.
