  1. People do realize there are many different types of racing with very different fan bases right?
  2. Take a look at the narrow field of view and take into account that the overhead wing extends lower to the drivers right further reducing visibility. The driver primarily steers by looking to the front left and directly to his left out the open window without the wing in his way as they race on counterclockwise ovals. http://www.stickthisgraphics.com/images/Sprint%20Car%20Side%20View%201%20(Small).jpg
  3. The flip side of this is that gunning the engine is also exactly what you do to steer a sprint car. The throttle is the primary way to steer. If he saw him at the last second and wanted to avoid him he would hit the throttle hard. If he wanted to scare him he would hit the throttle hard. You can make guesses about intent. Like I said above I think he tried to scare him but I'm not certain. I don't think he would swerve towards him on purpose. I think the visibility issue is the main thing here. At night. Dark track. Guy on track wearing black suit and helmet. Caution lights flashing. Very limited visibility out of a sprint car and he was wearing a helmet giving him tunnel vision. In addition the guy that got hit was to Stewart's right and visibility is further reduced to the side. If he saw him in advance and tried to intimidate him then he should face legal repercussions. We don't know what Stewart saw.
  4. It seems like most of the people that actually know about sprint cars and how they work think it was an accident. His hot head personality really makes you question it though. My gut says he tried to scare the kid and hit him. I don't think he'll be prosecuted and we'll never know what was actually going on in Stewart's head.
  5. Hey I called multi-hit so we were both right.
  6. We have a ton of games left with the Cardinals... Also 10 left with the Brewers out of 49 games.
  7. Man would it be fun to play spoiler down the stretch.
  8. Everyone is already depresso because of Javy's slow start. I'm going to go ahead and say he gets his first multi-hit game today.
  9. lol, nice
  10. Interesting. Hopefully he's over his injury weed troubles. Yeah, no thanks. We don't need a bad apple in the locker room. Other than the league being stuck in the same time warp as the government, I don't see why weed should make a person a "bad apple" as long as it is isolated to his own time and not his professional work as a player. I have no problem with weed, it should be legal. Him smoking weed in violation of his contract is stupid and he's been suspended for other things as well. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/6937440/new-york-jets-wide-receiver-santonio-holmes-gone-castoff-captain

  12. Yeah that's stupid for a t-shirt The Majestic brand t-shirts are usually shitty quality too. I have a Rizzo shirsey that has the numbers wearing off already on the back. It's too bad you can't get Nike DriFit quality ones.
  13. What's the cheapest place anyone has seen for his shirsey? Looks like they're all $35. Fanatics usually does free shipping but I don't see Baez on there yet.
  14. Still 7+ hours until game time. Wtf
  15. Now we get to celebrate Jay Day AND Javy Day.
  16. I wonder what number he's going to wear?
  17. Most anticipated Cubs game in quite a while.
