He's probably more valuable as a contract sitting on his ass. They can trade him in the offseason to clear up space to sign Deron and stuff. Not sure how making him play in the D-league helps his value at all. I think making him leave the team is the best way to salvage what little value Odom has left. Playing him certainly doesn't help it, and hurts the team in the process. Plus Mavs fans loathe Odom. When I was at their game last week, they pretty much boo'd him everytime he touched the ball. So paying a player to sit at home because he doesn't want to put any effort out on the floor is the way to go now? Man, the NBA is fan [expletive] tastic.
