  1. Stephens was hurt for most of the AAU season last year. He's had a couple of very good performances so far to start this season. I'm not saying he'll end up better than Hill, there is a lot of time left, but he dropped in the rankings last year after he got hurt. They are both good gets. I'm excited for Hill. Yeah I agree. Stephens is so important for Purdue because he actually has a jump shot. Terone Johnson and Rapheal Davis struggle mightily in that regard and Bryson Scott is another slasher as well. I'm expecting Anthony Johnson to improve his jump shooting, but Stephens will be our best pure shooter the day he steps on campus. We've gotta have Anthony Johnson and Stephens spread the floor or TJ/RD/BS will struggle.

  3. I usually look at all three of Rivals/Scout/ESPN just to get a general idea. Scout has Purdue's 2012 class rated better (all in the Top 100) than Rivals and ESPN do.
  4. Must be a typo. Actually, there was a typo, he's #16 overall!
  5. Also, updated Rivals150 for 2013: #33 Loving (O$U) #50 Stephens (PU) #51 Scott (PU) #52 Hill (IL) #63 Irving (UM) #70 Koenig (WI) #72 Walton (UM) #89 James (IL) #107 Davis (IU) #110 Hartman (IU) #116 Donnal (UM) #134 Fischer (IU) #139 Thorpe (PA - Yes, Penn St.) http://rivals.yahoo.com/purdue/basketball/recruiting/rankings/rank-rivals150/2013
  6. Scout's final 2012 rankings: #15 Dekker (WI) (5-Star) #16 Harris (MSU) (5-Star) #26 McGary (UM) #28 Hollowell (IU) #29 Robinson (UM) #30 Ferrell (IU) #47 Woodbury (IA) #49 Perea (IU) #66 Hammons (PU) #84 Johnson (PU) #86 Gessell (IA) #88 Stauskas (UM) #95 Costello (MSU) #97 Davis (PU) #98 Simpson (PU) All you heathens that follow other conferences can look for yourselves! http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=9&c=4&cfg=bb&pid=88&yr=2012
  7. They kept showing his face last night after the hit. He seemed to have that 'I done [expletive] up' expression on his face. He knows he's going to get it big time. Looked like that to me as well, I don't expect retaliation from the Blackhawks tomorrow, Torres won't be there and there's too much at stake to goon it up and give an offensively challenged team like Phoenix a bunch of PP time. But, I don't believe it'll be forgotten, some time down the road, when the opportunity arises I believe the Blackhawks will take advantage of that opportunity. The Blackhawks don't have anyone on the roster that could kick his ass in a fight anyway (not that they'll have the chance now this year). They need to run Whitney/Vrbata when it's clear we're going to lose the series, or run Torres next year if we're going to win the series. With Hossa gone we certainly can't lose anyone else with skill to suspension in the playoffs this year. This team really needs a couple more tough guys with at least a decent level of skill.
  8. Bumgarner grew up and went to school with my boss's nephews. He said he's a great kid, and actually scored us, through my boss's brother, some free tickets last year when SF was in Milawaukee playing the Brewers.
  9. They kept showing his face last night after the hit. He seemed to have that 'I done fucked up' expression on his face. He knows he's going to get it big time.
  10. He possibly paralyzed a player with an illegal hit. If the league was right he wouldn't come back out to the bench. He should be pulled from the game pending suspension.
  11. 3 GIDPs in 6 innings. So much fun to watch! Let's go Blackhawks!
  12. That can't be for real. Oh [expletive], nevermind I didn't recognize him in that picture but Purdue destroyed his team last year. He was awful.
  13. I would check the Coyotes board, but they probably don't even have one.
  14. Yeah, it's a little bit of a conflict of interest for the owner of the opponent to hand out the penalty.
  15. What a clown. Guys are murdering each other out there with no suspensions and Shaw gets 3 games. Whatever.
  16. He should be taken for an idiot with his recent decisions.
  17. The meathead in me wants us to replace Shaw (if he's suspended) with a goon who's sole mission is to run Smith. However, that would be a dumb thing to do.
  18. At least Bo is being classy about it. http://www.metrosportsreport.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6493&catid=184#.T4zultg-aZI.twitter :good: Did Crean restrict Capobianco at all when he decided to transfer?
  19. Sibert and Weatherspoon are transfering from O$U. By my count that leaves them at 8 scholarship players for next year. 2009: no recruits 2010: 3 of 6 remaining 2011: all 5 remaining 2012: no recruits
  20. It doesn't really matter who is in your bracket, that's the upset region. Also will you tell me how awful you are all year again next year as you win 30 games? They might even have some 3 star players on the floor. NIGHTMARE TIME.
  21. because he's a gamer and made of grit. he also threw 120+ his previous start. He was hitting 100 on the gun right at the end. Yeesh.
