    Villanueva and Hendricks have been assigned to Daytona. Brigham to Tennessee, and Chapman to Iowa to start. One odd side effect of the Villanueva bump was Cerda going back to AA. One would think he's not that important anymore to have to move back up. Thank you sir.

    If it was, it's not being enforced. Everything I'm reading is that it's a frenzy of coaches contacting players.

    Good grief, can't campus security throw them off the premises for harassment or something? That's pretty disgraceful. I was listening to someone (on Mully/Hanley) on the way to work this morning saying the NCAA shouldn't have even allowed coaches to contact players/recruits. He said it should've been up to the players/recruits to reach out to the schools they're interested in. They're not naive they've all been recruited, and if they're playing at Penn St. they were likely recruited by a lot of schools. They know how the game works and who to call if they want to leave.

    Wow, talk about destroying the good will of your fan base in a very short period. I wouldn't be surprised if Dempster gets booed if he starts for us at Wrigley again this year.

    he hasn't had a day off yet has he? He showed 10/38 over the last 15 days and he was 0/4 with 3 k's today. so a .238 average with zero extra base hits in the last 16 days. plus we're facing all righties the rest of the week.

    ...not be pitching 110 pitches in a meaningless game in July when he's going to be on an innings limit and is probably getting fairly close to it already. he was at 99, you can let him come out and see if he can get a quick 1-2-3. obviously if he throws many pitches or a runner gets on you can pull him immediately with Marmol... whatever, Cubs win!

    Shark has been fun to watch tonight. Should have a no hitter but he watched McCutchen running down the line instead of covering first.

    Only @ IU last year, so I assume there will just be one in Champaign this year. Don't know why they don't protect 2-3 matchups for each team. It's only a few more games, they should play every team home and home each year. It's dumb that they don't. A 22 game conference schedule is a bit much. Eh, not that much. Maybe drop a non-conference game or two. Even 20 would be better than 18.
