    Great AB by Soriano he looked miserable up there in the rain but was patient and crushed his pitch.

    McClellin moving back and forth between left and right end spots. Almost another sack for him just now.

    Manning shredded the defense in his single turn on the field, stopped by a dropped pass that turned into an interception inside the 5 yard line. Offense was useless. Really, it's surprising how much the first preseason game looks like a game from the past few years to this point. To be fair, they fooled Manning into throwing a pass right to Geno Hayes early in the drive. Hayes just didn't catch it.

    They're the clear favorite, but Montee Ball has a weird situation going on and they're on their 3rd QB in 3 years. It wouldn't shock me if they faltered. I'm going to Purdue's homecoming and it's against Wisconsin. I hope it's a good (and meaningful) game.

    Yes, because the scholarship list that includes Cody Zeller as a senior has a lot of relevance. You're forgetting the guy that Crean has been thinking of. A lot.

    Probably creeped out by that tweet. Sounds like James Blackmon is opening up again too. Lyles is going to Kentucky is my guess. That's what happened when Derek Willis backed out on Purdue last year. Of course, he's spiraled down the rankings since then. I don't think that's going to happen to Lyles. Actually, Lyles plays the same position as Willis so it would be extra sweet if he went to Kentucky.

    I was listening to the Brewers game during my drive home last night. The announcers were discussing Brewers reliever Jim Henderson. He was drafted in the 26th round of the 2003 draft by the Montreal Expos. He spent 10 years in the minors before his debut and is thus likely the last Expos draft pick to ever make their MLB debut.

    The Painter rumor is, I assume, the reason for the last tweet. But seriously, he's either tweeting a chick or saying some really creepy things to a recruit. It's starting to spread on twitter. Well, he has been doing pretty well on the recruiting front so his creepy texts must be working. :P Well at least we know he's been thinking about them a lot.     So Tom Crean tweeted: "I am doing great. I have been thinking about you alot since last weekend. A whole lot. How are you doing?" Followed by: "Sorry. That was to a new recruit. Wish I could tell you who. Sent it by mistake. Don't panic. Lol" And then: "My wife and daughter are laughing at my lack of ability to use technology. Sorry purdue fans, it's not what you want to think" Creeper. Oh, and the first tweet has since been deleted.

    Plus the best Purdue team in almost a decade is awaiting you in week two after traveling back from Ireland. I'm not a Danny Hope fan but I gotta think a short week, jetlag, over-confidence, and looking down the road to all those ranked teams plays in our favor.
