    as a general rule, i'm not gonna care about the kickoff return breakdown for ANY game. so we can start there. Usualy I would agree. However, it's relevant when you have the best average in the entire FBS. That being said, you don't care about the game anyway so why waste the time saying you're not interested?

    You've got a chance. Put up a lot of points and we have woefully unproven corners and Motta at SS is no Harrison Smith. If we don't get a pass rush, the QBs will have a chance to put up a lot of yards. QBs plural is right. Hope insists on using a three, yes three, quarterback rotation. It's insane. The strengths of Purdue's team are the D-Line, CBs, and speed at the skill positions. I would be surprised if they tried more than 2-3 passes beyond 15 yards from the line of scrimmage. You'll see lots of running the ball and lots of screens and short throws. I don't think we win, but I like the odds getting 14.5 points. If they're smart they'll throw and throw often. ND's freshman CB got burned numerous times by Navy WR's. Sticking to screens and runs plays right to ND's strengths. Oh, I agree, and Marve is the best QB suited to that but he'll only get maybe 40% of the snaps. Plus ND will probably be looking pass when he comes in. Marve should be starting but he gambles and is going to throw some picks, you gotta take the risk to get the reward IMO. TerBush is vanilla and vanilla doesn't win games against a team with more talent on the roster.

    A couple other things to watch for (if you care). Raheem Mostert led the FBS in kickoff return average last year as a true freshman. He's an explosive kick returner. Also, DT Kawann Short is our best player. Walter Football actually has him mocked to go to the Bears in the 1st round of next year's draft. He blocked a field goal and an extra point last week and usually gets double teamed.

    Hartman is fucked. edit: Derek Willis who was a 5 Star and ranked in the Top 25 when he comitted to Purdue has fallen all the way to #126. He's going to be recruited over at Kentucky. He would've been a good fit in Purdue's system too. Oh well.

    He lives in the state of Indiana and wants to work in education. That doesn't exactly go hand in hand with a pissed off Hoosier fan base. That's pretty obvious. Capo, Patterson, Roth, the Tweet. Hell, the man can't buy pants that fit. He's an embarrassment to IU.

    I just don't understand what Roth thought was going to happen that would have allowed him to play a 5th year. I mean Austin Etherington is only going to get accidentally crushed by a bus to make room for a guy like Gary Harris, not Matt Roth. That's not the point. He pretty explicitly said Crean didn't man up and say sorry Roth it's not going to happen. At least have the balls to deliver the news. The fact that there is an article today of him 'frustrated' that what he said was 'misenterpreted' is laughable spin control.
