  1. I think that plays a part, but it probably just makes things better and/or worse, rather than forming the opinion in the first place. Soriano was destined to be booed. He's never been as good as his pre-Cubs reputation suggested he was, his contract was insane, and his high strikeout free swinging approach riles fans regardless. Kaplan piling on makes it worse, but it didn't create the monster. Soriano gets killed because he's streaky and once he goes cold, he has nothing to fall back on. His defense is awful and he doesn't even attempt to steal anymore, which drives me insane. Someone tell me how Bobby Abreu manages to steal 20-25 bases a year with ease and Soriano won't even approach 10-15 this year? Again, from all reports Soriano is fully healthy.
  2. Does Chris Synder hit HR's against anyone besides the Cubs? Wow, Grawbow actually looked usable that inning.
  3. Finally....Fuku with a HR and Lee with a HIT....surely you jest.
  4. The kind that continually gets shut down by absolute garbage starting pitchers. Freaking Lopez has NO HITS through 3. :banghead:
  5. Leave it Soriano to kill the rally....on a ball in the dirt and 3 feet off the plate no less.
  6. Don't worry Arizona fans, by the end of today your bullpen won't be the worst in the NL anymore.
  7. Grabow= Hawkins, Eyre, Howry and every other overpaid and unproductive reliever that Hendry has acquired. while.... Capps= best bargain of the offseason thus far. Now Ramirez can't even field his position.
  8. Good point about Tracy. When both your 3 and 4 hitter have less hits combined than your leadoff hitter, you have bigger problems.
  9. no He's actually been worse. If not for a wind-aided double, his OPS would probably be below .400. He's still not Miles. Miles was starting way too often. Tracy is pinch hitting way too often. Outside of a nice defensive play in MIL, the guy has done NOTHING this year.
  10. Ian Kennedy has never stepped foot in Wrigley.... Kennedy comes in as an average pitcher at best this season with the wind blowing out as hard as I can remember and Kennedy promptly shuts down the Cubs. Embarrassing.
  11. Should be able to get this one, unless Silva goes "non-April" Silva.
