The interview with Zambrano after the game last night was hilarious. When the reporter said, "Pineilla said that he was going to..." then Zambrano interrupts him and said, "What did he say?" (waiting for the reporter to answer). The reporter then said, "he said he was going to stretch you out with a possible return to the rotation, which is really not what Piniella said in his presser. It is so obvious that something is going on behind the scenes, because neither guy is a very good liar. -
Who couldn't have figured what would've happened there. This team is sooooooooooo bad.

Soriano with another GIDP for the Cubs vaunted offense. Soriano, though hitting some singles, hasn't hit a ball out of the park in 2 weeks.

Please explain how Z doesnt give a [expletive]? Just look at his mannerisms. It's painfully obvious he's not happy. The guy feeds of the crowd, good or bad. He comes in now, and the crowed could care less. I don't blame Zambrano either. He has the mindset to be a starter and has always been a decent starting pitcher. It's not a matter of if, but when that this situation with him and the Cubs management blows up and gets real ugly.

Can the Cubs trade Grabow for Meek? Why is Zambrano in the pen? I don't manage baseball, but for [expletive] sakes the guy is not made for the pen. He allows runners EVERY time he comes in.

Worst defensive catcher in baseball and this team has to bunt runners over in order to generate a scoring chance. Embarrassing. Fontenot has now missed a bunt attempt TWICE already this season and been picked off both times.

Because Burres has already intentionally walked Castro once. Soto was up after Soriano singled, so Castro's AB had nothing to do with the situation. Because Soto is one of the best hitters in baseball right now, and running into outs with him at the plate would be a foolish thing to do. Or Soto could've had an RBI chance. It's not like it's Molina behind the dish, Doumit is awful. I know I'm in the minority on this, but how a guy goes from 40+ stolen base speed to nothing in 3 years is beyond me. His knee is obviously healthy again, as evidenced by his offense so far.

Again, why does Soriano not even attempt to steal a base? Ryan Doumit is the worst defensive catcher in baseball, and has thrown out next to no one on the season. Soriano singles, then stands over on first with the smallest of leadoffs. So frustrating.

Yea how dare Lee hit the ball hard damnit! He can't catch a break. Neither can Ramirez. Hopefully Soriano can do something here.
