  1. Wow. Stern knows where the boddies are buried.
  2. Im sure the same group of voters who conferred 3 MVPs to Lebron will also think he is HOF worthy. The Dream Team article was dope.
  3. Lebron is an unqualified first ballot HOFer. Arguing against that is incredibly stupid.
  4. First off. Reggie Miller was absolutely a superstar. He was Cheryl Miller's brother and a star at UCLA. Then he famously battled with NYK. He was the second leading scorer and started at the 2 for 96 olympic team. Secondly, I clearly wasnt aguing that Miller/Mullin were on Jordan's level, they were not. Jordan became the biggest star by being the best player in the league. He then enjoyed the benefit of the whistle that all the greats are given. If media market size determined officiating the knicks would get ever call. I dont notice that they do. More than anything else I despise that the only thing people talk about with respec t to the NBA is the officiating and that every single game is determined by the officials. Its annoying. An NBA game is virtually impossible to officiate. I think thety do the best they can. ESPN should never allow Van Gundy to announce another game. All he does is sit there and complain about guys flopping and officials missing calls. Its grating. I dont want a color man complaining about the games, especially, when by and large they have been entertaining aside from his bluster.
  5. Mullin is younger than MJ and Rodman. I was disputing the notion that the Pacers were a no-name squad, they were not. Did MJ draw fouls, of course. Did he get the benefit of the doubt like every other great player before him and since, of course. He also attacked the basket at volume, was the most skilled player of his day, and undoubtably one of the most savvy. Saying the Bulls dynasty was sheparded by the NBA/Officiating is insane.
  6. Every free throw Reggie Miller ever shot was because he did that. Well, nearly every one. Love when Bulls fans slam other guys for getting calls. Yeah, the team from India-no-place with no superstars always used to get the calls against the team from Chicago with Michael freakin' Jordan. Reggie Miller was one of the biggest names for over a decade, Chris Mullen was another hall of famer on that team and Smits and Mark Jackson were big names as well. That team was pretty hollywood, I dont remember who got what calls but I do know that Reggie's massive pushoff of MJ was game deciding no call that went the no-name pacers way.
  7. This is going to be an awesome series to watch. A lot of great players. Miami's best chance is for Westbrook to go off.
  8. It sure is a surprise that you'd pick the Heat. Stunner really. Im not a Heat fan and I like this Boston team as well. I just think that LBJ and Wade will get the whistle in game 6 and then win game 7 at home. If Bosh recovers more and plays more of the game, his ability to hit from 16-18 feet will keep Garnet from playing rim protectpor. At least make his old body move more on D so that he cant abuse the Heat all game like he has been. So I think if the Heat win game 6 and then win an HCA game 7. Spo is a joke.
  9. I bet the heat win this series.
  10. Its one of those things; people just want to hate Lebron.
  11. But you want Ray Allen to keep getting them up because him going 7-10 from 3 is your best chance at stealing game 2 and getting into this series. Miami absolutely zipped up Boston's ball movement yesterday.
  12. Im seeing a bunch of "The vastly underappreciated Tim Duncan" "Hes not flashy but hes quietly had a tremendously underrated career..." type of articles out there right now. Seriously, did anybody watch basketball from 1998-2006? Tim Duncan has been widely considered the greatest power forward in the history of the game for many years now. He was seen as a top 2 or 3 guy in the NBA for at least a decade. People are kinda acting like that period of the NBA never happened. Kinda weird. I guess this means Chris Webber never even happened?
  13. The only episode thats been good was when everybody cried on the celtics when they traded perk.
  14. Wow. They must just be scrapping D12. Anything to get him off TNT works for me.
  15. I dont root for the Heat normally. I would like to see them get to the finals and match up with either SA or OKC or id like a BOS v SA final. The Heat are obviously the most compelling team in the league and Lebron and Wade are clearly among the most talented and exciting to have ever played the game, so I like both those players but dont really root for any teams outside of the bulls. I will however pull for the spurs to win the championship from here on out to solidify the the Big Fundemental as the best career since jordan.
  16. A guy Lebron's size, strength, body control and athleticism can land an elbow at point blank range. Lebron's little elbow flails werent much at all and certainly not worth the fugazi act that granger has been trying to sell. The pacers pulled this little brother act against us in the first round last year and it was pathetic then and it still is now. And man, we are really overreacting to 4 hard fouls in 5 games where nobody was remotely harmed (unless born ready is hurt).
  17. Danny Granger went from an underappreciated budding star player 3 years ago to a swiftly declining inefficient volume scorer with terrible peripherals for a guy who plays 35 minutes and gets up 17 a night. At this point I think Hibbert and Paul George are more valuable pacers than Granger. He has really fallen off as the team got better. Lebron is obviously abusing him in this series, which is not totally to Grangers discredit because Lebron is having an all time great season and the way hes able to get the playoff whistle is pretty unstopable. However, Granger is acting like a punk and its kinda pathetic. Getting in guys faces constantly like your gonna fight is dumb. These guys are not going to fight out there period. The posturing is pathetic when you are getting outplayed. The Dex Pittman hit was dumb as well. Scrub trying to get in on the fun. They should suspend him. The Haslem foul was not suspension worthy at all. He fouled his arm. I respect Hansborough for not overselling that foul.
  18. Has TNT/TBS ever had a good original show? Seems like during both NBA and MLB playoffs each year, there is a show that they market to death and it never lasts very long. Ten Items or Less was great. Ten items or less was tremendous.
  19. Anybody who says lebron is not great in the fourth quarter shouldnt be allowed to comment about basketball.
  20. Brendan Shanahan, is that you? Dang. Yea guys its me.
  21. Im still confused why anybody but a Pacers fan would prefer to watch the Heat sans Wade for any reason much less a pretty hard foul. Unless you just started watchign the NBA last season, you wouldve seen fouls like Wade's about once a week. The NBA league office decisions are inherently arbitrary. I dont care to hold them to the standard of maintaining consistency between the regular season Jason Smith foul and the postseason Wade foul. Im glad they dont.
  22. Yea in your butts.
  23. Wow this is a stupid post. No, your post was stupid. Nope. People who are calling for a great player to be suspended in a tight playoff series for a very borderline flagrant 2 are idiots.
  24. Wow this is a stupid post.
  25. I wasnt callign for rondo to get suspended for throwing Hinrich into the scorers table in a completely off ball incident. Wade can easily say he was moving hard down the floor and collison slowed up to catch the granger pass and he fouled him. I got no problem with it. The pacers try to play a physical game and wade trucked a much smaller man. Itd be a little different if collison were in the air but wasnt. Superstars in every league are going to get the benefit of the doubt. Its really not that big of a deal that they do.
