  1. He'll prolly take OU out if they lose. Yeah they are definitely wobbling. Zona is about to lose to USC. So much for that 2.
  2. Palm may have moved OU to a 4-seed if they held on.
  3. So it's a foul if you throw yourself into a defender that never leaves his feet? ESPN has dumb commentators.
  4. Missouri already beat VCU, but I won't argue that SLU and Butler are probably better.
  5. According to whom? Glockner has them as a 5 right now. I'll be in this too, representing ND natch. They have wins over Butler, Gonzaga, Indiana, Minnesota and Ohio State. Their duds against Northwestern and Purdue notwithstanding, it's a solid resume.
  6. http://deadspin.com/5987278/struggling-wisconsin-player-resorts-to-jumpshot-free-throws
  7. KC is giving up a second rounder? [expletive].
  8. No, he was always terrible and should have never been the sixth pick. That isn't a strawman since I never said that you or anyone else was projecting him as a top 20 point guard. I took a large sampling of that group and compared their freshman seasons to Ferrell's. He's probably not going to be a starting caliber point guard and he might not even be a viable backup option, which makes him an interchangeable guy that plays sparingly, which makes the whole argument we're having pretty darn tedious. I think we can agree that Ferrell will play in the NBA in some capacity, but he's never going to be guaranteed a job.
  9. If Ferrell can't even surpass Jonny Flynn, a guy who isn't even in the league anymore, that might not bode well for his future prospects. At the end of the day, he's shooting 37 percent from the floor. Take the top 18 or so point guards in the league by PER (the ones who went to college here and Derrick Rose). All of them cracked 40. A few of them were worse than Ferrell from beyond the arc (Conley, Sessions, Rondo, Jack, Holiday, Evans, Walker) but they could all score off the bat.
  10. NBA teams aren't busting down doors to draft 6-0 point guards who can't shoot.
  11. Nice muscle flex by Elston.
  12. I've caught very little of the game tonight, but that move he made at the rim (can't remember when; I think he missed a layup) was pretty fantastic. I curse Mike Anderson's name every time he plays. Bill Self is fat.
  13. NM is defensible. The others though... Not trying to be GatorSnayke or anything, but Florida as a 3-seed compared to that trio? No fracking way.
  14. Jerry Palm has New Mexico, Georgetown and Arizona as three of his four No. 2 seeds. Maybe I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem correct.
  15. That's not going to get him a lot of minutes in the NBA.
  16. He's pretty good, but Olayogihulls > Burke
  17. abuck's saltiness aside, Iowa really should be way out on the bubble.
  18. Seriously, what's Ferrell's ceiling? Sebastian Telfair?
  19. Oladipo looks like a good backup. Ferrell has a long way to go before he's cracking a NBA rotation.
  20. I don't know. Last year was pretty exciting. Got a W and played a good game against a high profile team and #1seed in MSU. Sweet 16 this year would be... Sweet I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's true. I'm going to try and attend the La Salle game. I've never been to a college basketball game and there wasn't enough money to get me to a attend a Billikens game during the unfortunate Soderberg era.
  21. Most excitement surrounding SLU since Kenyon Martin broke his leg and they backdoored through the CUSA Tournament.
  22. Harrison Barnes just got scorched by Ginobli on a similar play Illinois beat IU with.
  23. Hopefully we get a chance to see, but I think you're seriously underrating Florida because they have the misfortune of playing in a football conference. If they were just winning by 10-15 points or so against the dregs, then maybe I'd see if differently, but they are throttling teams by 25 points and they do it with brutal efficiency. Plus, if you don't see much of a difference between No. 150 and No. 250, then I don't see a difference between beating Purdue (91) or Auburn (152) or Northwestern (100) or South Carolina (207).
  24. Even after losing last night Florida is still Pomeroy's No. 1 team and ranked No. 2 respectively in both offense and defense. As for SOS, Sagarin gives Florida the edge. Indiana is a close No. 2, but they are still No. 2.
