  1. Not a fan of the Cubs, but a big fan of this. Classy move by your organization.
  2. Pena with a nice dig there to end the inning.
  3. 10th. Yeah he's been barely passable with the bat, and his cruddy defense has given away any value he might have had as a result. And I may have spoken too soon about Albert Pujols.
  4. Hopefully he heats up a little bit and thus still interests the Cubs.
  5. I hope the Cubs sign him for around $30 million a year for ten years.
  6. Figures that Pena would finally decide to try and go to the opposite field in THIS series.
  7. Maybe he'll stop letting him pitch in front of Lance Berkman? This is hardly Berkman's fault. Franklin has little ability to get outs anymore, and no ability to make batters miss the ball anymore.
  8. Keep it going, Cubs. Hopefully this forces Mozeliak to finally do something about Ryan Franklin.
  9. Brandon Backe-esque.
  10. Yeah, no one from my side can understand why Batista keeps getting the call. But hey, he's better than Ryan Franklin.
  11. BABIP giveth, and BABIP taketh away.
  12. It was ruled that Punto left early, but he did not. Umpire blew the call.
  13. Loses the perfecto on a walk to McGehee. Something else still going on. Or not. Still throwing a heck of a game.
  14. Preach. Dempster's early start is alarming, but it seems he's been unlucky. I imagine his BABIP is a bit higher than it should be. On referencing fangraphs: .344. That's not as high as I thought it would be.
  15. I'd pay money to do it if I could. In a year I get my doctorate and I'm out of this hell-hole. are you talking about the same chicago and the same st louis as everyone else? i can't believe there are people who prefer st louis. If I keep talking about it I imagine I will be banned or labelled as a troll. So let's just agree that there are diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks. But for the record: after living and working here for 3+ years, I prefer STL and would in fact prefer a lot of different places over living in Illinois.
  16. I'd pay money to do it if I could. In a year I get my doctorate and I'm out of this hell-hole. To prove that I'm not here to be a troll, I'd like to say that I really like hearing Len & Bob's work, and whenever the Cards play the Cubs, I watch their broadcast whenever possible. I like to keep up with the rival and it's good to know what's happening with all of the Cubs fans in town.
  17. What? Spoiler alert: I'm a Cardinals fan stuck living in Chicago the last three years.
  18. Really would love to see him holding down an OF spot for the Cubs in 2013. Along with Pujols, another player I hope not to see on the Cubs roster in the future. Kemp's a killah. Pena finally runs into one.
  19. Kemp's off to a hot start, but I don't know if I'd call him the MVP just yet, Bob.
