They'll have to the money to resign KB. But he is going to sign in Philly to play with Bryce, and we'll sign Kyle Seager instead.

I haven't been paying much attention to see how much this has been talked about, but it makes perfect sense: We had a little money left to spend this year (well, we actually had a lot to spend but the Ricketts family decided otherwise), but we have nothing for the future. Bryce was never happening. And nothing good is going to happen in the future. This team is in the process of derailing. Better hope we turn things around with some of the guys already on the roster. I miss optimistic Duke. It's like you joined the DC universe. I don't think we'll have to deal with him for a long time.

this is absolutely 10000000% happening and he is definitely 10000000000000000% not signing with the cubs and i'm definitely not trying to jinx anything in a reverse sort of way If this post was by Duke...mayyyyyybe it has some sway. For the record, there is a 0% chance Bryce signs with the Cubs. Everything is bad now. We will rue the day we decided not to sign him as we are mired in mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

I don’t think this guys actually knows anything. He’s just trying to connect dots that don’t exist on Zobrist’s absence. That being said I could see them thinking trading Zobrist to free up money for Kimbrel on a reduced deal makes sense. It's clear what name he is seeing:

can you imagine how horsefeathers up it would be to be dumpy old brian duensing and have the one thing you're remotely good at in life be "being a part of the small population of left handed people who is part of the even smaller group of lefthanded people who can throw curveballs to the even smaller portion of people who bat left handed" and then read online where some dumbass is like "he should be murdered" and other people are liking the post like "yes i agree, murder is a fitting outcome for him." All fans of everything are terrible. We should be marched off of a cliff. Hmm... I bet Brian Duensing is a fan of something.
