  1. We beat their asses on Haren Day. Let's sweep them.
  2. Ugh. And Javy and KB are on the bench.
  3. So we need to sweep this series, and then the Pirates also need to sweep the Cardinals at the end of the month.
  4. I know he's only been with us a little bit, but Javy Baez not being terrible is the biggest surprise to me. I've been impressed with his work at Iowa and now up here with us. And he transformed himself in a year when he had to deal with his sister's death and missing time due to injury.
  5. Remember when one of members of the Pessimists Posse was bemoaning the Pirates having a resurgent Joe Blanton in their bullpen? And we have this elite control/ground-ball Clayton Richard that's given us a 3.33 xFIP in 38.2 innings, pitching in a variety of roles.
  6. Oh man, did we break Cervelli, too? I won't shed a tear for him, though.

You wouldn't happen to be able to tell me our highest-scoring game in 2008, would you? Gm# Date Opponent Score Starter Opp Starter .27 Wed 04/30 Milwaukee N 19- 5 Dempster Suppan Thanks, Fred! I figured we had to have at least one really big game with that offense.
