  1. Huge surprise that this is your contribution for the day.
  2. Lots of hard hit balls from Heyward, even these foul balls.
  3. No big deal, just the 10th best FIP in the majors for Hendricks.
  4. Maybe we should have let La Stella face this guy...
  5. Rizzo hasn't been hit for awhile. Maybe that will unlock the awesomeness.
  6. It's the one thing holding us back from being amazing at literally every facet of baseball.
  7. J-Hey getting the ball off the ground? Yes, please. Also Hendricks definitely looked safe.
  8. You don't have to worry about the wind when you get them out swinging.
  9. Soler had one last year in the last game of the Atlanta series that I was stunned got out. Looked like a high fly ball off the bat but it just kept carrying. Bryce Harper's bat slam homer I could be remembering wrong but I think that was a weird stormy night with crazy winds I just remember that it was against Hendricks and it was the only run he gave up the whole night, so it pissed me off.
  10. Keep getting 'em up in the air, boys. Ten-dong day.
  11. Their BABIP would be the highest ever over a full season since 1900. The 1930 Cardinals have the record at .332. The Red Sox are at .346 right now also. The Red Sox also have a similar disparity between their BABIP and their statcast-based xBABIP. Ours is about the same.
  12. Here is where the Pirates team slash line looks right now (before tonight): .284/.361/.434 From that new statcast-based xBABIP, here is what they should be expected to be at: .264/.342/.403 They have a .339 BABIP. They've been incredibly lucky. Matt Joyce and Sean Rodriguez both are OPS'ing over 1.000. They've also played the easiest schedule in the league so far. Their pitching staff is horrible. They are nothing. They don't deserve our attention.
  13. Candelario is 2-3. His average is up to .247. It was at .197 seven days ago.
  14. Rough night for Blackburn. Stinnett had a solid start, though.
  15. With Butters at the helm, we shall never lose again.
  16. The new launch angle and amount of balls he is getting in the air is definitely encouraging. He wasn't going to survive as a low-contact, poor defender in a corner outfield spot by hitting a bunch of line drive singles. Time to dong yourself to value, Jorge.
  17. Yeah, I am going to be wary with him until he is OPS'ing like .900 and leading the team in dongs in August. I love seeing him crush baseballs, though.
